Also played a home game today. 1/2NLHE - 1/2PLO8. Soft game, lots of fun guys. I will recreate a hand I played towards the end that blew my mind.
Villain is a monster fish. Basically keeps the game running from week to week. Will drop on average $400 - $1,000 a session. If I had to make a guess I'd say he runs something like to 90/5 in the PLO8 and 70/20 in the NLHE and is basically incapable of folding a pair.
Game is $400 NLHE
Hero: $380
Villain $600ish
5 handed
I open to $20 in the CO T

. Folds to the straddle who flats (They do a weird straddle that is only to $6).
Pot: $42

Villain checks, Hero bet $32, Villain calls
Pot: $106
Turn: T
Villain bets $20, Hero raises to $102, Villain calls
Pot: $310
River: 8
Villains checks, Hero bets $226 all in, Villain shows K

thinks for about 15 seconds, says " I know you have a straight. I fold." Hero says (with absolutely no sarcasm), "Wow Donnie, good fold." and quietly mucks his hand.
I mean. For this guy to fold trips is like... f-ck, i dunno... it basically shattered my entire perception of reality. I am expecting to get called by 66 here some decent amount of the time! I just don't know what happened. LOL.
