I'm getting quite sick of raising AK OOP, getting called, c-betting a middle flop and getting called, the board pairing, and I have to check fold the turn. Seriously wtf is this ****.

Time to have a think about that "can't fold a set" line of thought.

Just like there is times to fold KK preflop, there is also times to fold a set (even if it a far rarer situation).

Berge, lots know my SN but don't want to post it. You can PM me though...

yea, I'll do one sometime soon. I'm not sure when though and it will probably be done on the fly so it will likely be short notice.

I still have more 100NL hands than everything else combined and there are lots of guys like MT2R, RyanCMU and pokerboy who I'm sure have more career hands than I do. I've just been taking it easy after nearly burning myself out in Jan trying to pace for Supernova Elite while running bad and not playing much better.

For the last month (since Mar 5) my true hourly, including rakeback and freeroll cashes, has been $43.59/hr. While that's never going to give me a $20K month, in the "real world" that's a pretty respectable rate. For the last couple weeks, I've been playing an (approx) 18/6 split of 50NL and 100NL and I'll likely continue to increase the 100NL tables throughout this month, as conditions permit. So barring any disasters I should see a further increase in hourly this month.

The key though is that this has been an easy, stress free month. I had a three week run in March where I didn't have a losing day! Being able to make a solid earn while breezing through the month is just invaluable in this profession, particularly after a bad run. It's also good to know that even if I have a big downswing and then have to strip my roll to pay expenses I can still play 50NL with a minimal roll and grind myself back.

So while it would be nice to be pwning $1KNL, I have other priorities and anyway I'm sure I'll be back playing 200NL and taking shots at 400NL by the end of summer.

+$900.85 rakeback
+ $92.00 in VIP Freeroll cashes
About 20hrs/week
I definitely admire this because I could never out in that many hands at any stakes. Just seems ridiculous to me. Also, that many consecutive winning days also seems absurd. I love it when I have 3 in a row. Anything more is just a gift. Your hourly is definitely solid when compared to averages outside of poker and you seem to enjoy it which is good. If it supports you and your wife then thats really all that matters, right?

is it just me or is the amount of shortstackers on ftp amazing now. Every single one of them is iron man too so i guess they shortstack to get a crappy reward system.

Yeah, I know, I've never had anything close. I think second place might be a week or something? Some of those days were like +$5 days, but at 100NL or 200NL those would have been -3 buy-in days. The drop off from 100NL to 50NL is just so massive... Which of course is why I keep bouncing back and forth from 50NL to 200NL. 50NL really is like a paid vacation...

If he is calling a bet for 1/2 his stack then he should probably be calling an allin.
Even if he folds more it is better to shove because this way you are giving him a flop to fold every time he misses, yet you are still going to be stacking off every time he hits.
