Internal rates are different than cashout rates. Buy in and out of tables and converting bankrolls is done at a better rate. Or at least that has been my experience years back.

fair enough, however i would ask support first for rates before converting big sums just to be safe

This question pops up every now and then and the answer is so far has always been the same. I'd rather ask Colette here on 2+2 for confirmation instead of the customer support who are often clueless. But like I said, they've always used mid-market rate for account currency changes.

And just to make sure we are on the same page, you can't pick the sum you convert, you can only convert your whole account to another currency and I think it's a one time deal.

You should obviously have your party account in the currency of your bank account / e-wallet etc. that you use for withdrawals

well if that's true it's great

I always thought that they use the same ****ty rate for exchanging your money when u sit/leave at the tables as well, so I didn't see any point in changing my account from USD to GBP, since I would lose the same % of my winnings as I would lose with withdrawing in GBP

Colette if you read this, could you confirm this? ^^

You can confirm it yourself when you sit in as you can see the rate. Then compare that to the cashier rate ?

Just realised you obviously can't do that as your account is still in USD lol

Well my Party account is in euros and I've done it several time. But I understand you will trust Colette's answer more

I couldn't find any transaction history from the client but you can login to you account via https://secure.partyaccount.com/ and then go to accont - transaction history. You can see the promo credits from there

Ok I've asked two different ppl in live chat, Colette and vip support as well and all told me the same, that the same rate apply everywhere, even when you change your account's currency. The current rate is pretty bad, exactly 3% off from the mid-market rate. But if I would chose to change the currency of my account I would lose the same 3% when leave the tables if the support were right.

Could you do me a favor and compare the rate what you get when buying in and the xe.com mid-market rate?

Thanks in advance and I really hope that you were right

The rate leaving tables is not all that important. It is because you lose a percentage of your principal but because you buy in at the same rate you cash out from a table you won't lose a spread. But yes, if you buy in for 1000, and earn a 2500 stack then yes you will have lost 3% off that 1500 profit. I think this is your best option by a mile.

Again, the cashier rate isn't the rate used for buying in/out from tables or changing account currency. You've probably misunderstood the information given to you.

At the moment:

cashier rate is $1000 = 899.70 euros
buy-in to table $1000 = 922.76 euros (2.5% difference to cashier rate)

xe.com rate $1000 = 918.12 euros

The difference between buy-in to table rate and xe.com rate is due to Party only updating their rate only once a day (every business day afaik).

So at the moment, it works in your favor as you'd get more euros per dollar if you have a winning session but of course, in the long run, this evens out as currencies fluctuate.

I have changed the currency and now I can confirm that they exchange it at almost mid-market rate (like 0,36% less, but it is more than ok, after I thought I would lose 3% straight away)

Thanks again Lessu, I owe u a beer at least

is it easy to change currency of your cashier? Mine is in $ because I assumed all the buyin in and topping up cash tables would amount to more Fees than cashing out once a month. Seems like I was wrong.

Party recently changed their policy: You can only change your account currency once.

With regard to cashing out from USD to EUR,
requested a 15k$ cashout from party to my EUR bank account.
Chose EUR when cashing out, so that party converts and not my bank.
Requested 15k$ on 27th, got approval on 29th for 13485,48€

Is there a way to raise to 2.5x pre without typing it in? Am I missing something? Are people using scripts for that?

Thanks.

Ya I wouldn't either but I did post the source code originally also for people that wanted to modify it and compile it. You can just run it on a non poker computer if you don't trust it but want to fix db. I just posted it again cause I keep getting pm requests whenever the last download link expires.

When I buy in to 1000nl, it automatically presets a 600$ buyin. I can't seem to change that, I have to type 1000$. When I buy in to 2000nl, it automatically presets 2000$, which is good. How do I make max buy-in the default for all tables? Thanks.
