Top 10% earn an average of 60k gross (42k take home). 50k probably puts you close to top 7 or 5% for sure. either way, it's still pretty high up.

Main problem with poker earnings is if u r around for very long u tend to get a bit paranoid, especially if u had back to back 20k++ months and now u happy if u make 10 pre rakeback. For me good reality check is always when i have mates around with whom i went to school, studied, work as lawyers now, consulatants, dentists w/e and not a single one of them makes even close to wat i make post tax.
So overall things arent as bad as it seems. But compared to sharing teh wealth with 100 regs at ur stakes back in teh days u now share with 250 who r on avg way better which is problem

Pretty sure this depends on whether the 60k figure is median or mean, because top hedge fund managers etc will be earning tens of millions a year which would skew the figure.

Also ISO wasn't the only one to notice analog has been gone for about a week, I think he can still recieve transfers though so i imagine he has literally just gone on holiday rather than being investigated.

We should stop posting that tbh. Next time PokerStars Steve has an account frozen he's going to tell support to allow it to receive transfers but they should simply be forwarded to his vacation fund.

1) If a player reserves a seat, he has to sit in. If he refuses to sit in, he will be barred from attempting to join table for another 5 minutes. Also, if he sits in, plays an orbit and leaves, he has to wait 3 minutes before he can join the table again.
2) Stars implements its' own "hoax joiners", i.e. empty seats show up sporadically an "R"-symbol. In reality, no one will join as it was just Stars' own pseudo join attempt. People who are using a script lose their privilege for 5 minutes in case a legit spot joins the table.

Tadaa, problem "solved".

I realized that there might be one downfall in it. I've never had a script, but do some of the scripts join only when a known fish has seated the table (or a complete unknown that's not marked as a regular)? The suggestion above would only eliminate seats getting reserved when an R-symbol appears.

Then again, Stars could implement hoax players joining tables as well. (Random nicks who joins and instantly leave without playing a single hand.)

You are allowed to reserve a seat 3 times on the same table. After that I wont be able to sit down again. A couple of month ago before the changed to this it was ridiculous.

Having played with the changes for a little while. I dont like them. There are times I wanna do reg wars and times where I leave voluntary. I clearly and much prefer how it was on FTP where you see the name of the person who reserves the seat and their global wait list system puts you ahead of the scripters. Makes scripts less valueable.

I don't have much experience on Stars yet, and I've not bothered play anything but zoom poker thus far. It's kind of annoying that it's not running above 500 though, so I was wondering if it's realistic to play 3/6 and up without using a seating script? I don't mind starting tables at times if need be.

If it isn't, what price range should be expected for a script ? (so that I don't fall for some Chinese scam.)

Oh and is it still considered kindof "unethical" to use one ?

If you don't mind battling with the GOAT anolog its fine to not use a script. Getting tables at 600+ higher scripting is really difficult IMO. Of course that kind of depends on the script. I'm from UK with fiber and I struggle (if anyone wants to let me trial their script out if they think I can get 600 tables with, pm me please)

You can get 6+ tables of 600 when analog is on (he's on a lot) . Because of him...sometimes there's more 600 than 400 running so playing that stake is an option.... 1knl I have no idea

There's often more 1k than 600 it seems, just depends on the time of day/who is on to start games.

At peak times you will only get seats with a script, and even with a script you won't necessarily get seats well unless you're from UK or close to the UK. You can also start tables when analog is there ^^

lol emailed stars over 2 months ago about analog being a potential bot. they have finally sent an email saying theyve finshed with their investigation and that he is not. 2 months is a really long time. Looks like theyre going to take investigating seriously now. (or he was shady as fk tht they were unsure on him)
