Server down, TN1 will be back later

Massive server problems last night. After the server reset Fuzzf@ce joined and sat out every single 25nl table as it spawned with 40bbs. Tilted the **** out of me.

the real problem is getting a refund you didn't know you got then having it taken off you.

Pokerstars.it had a major **** up too yesterday...15euros MTT 4K GTD only allowed 9 players to register...after busting the first one they made a 8way deal according to their ICM.....faster final table of the history of poker?? :P :P

Hey old-timer! You back in the games?


I ask this every few months, but is TN2 any good yet or is it full of problems still? The only things I need really are to be able to control betsizing well with scroll wheel, hotkeys for betting, and auto timebank. The multi-site table positioning looks really useful too.

oh the good old TN1

I still use TN1 for Stars, but I play FTP and Party and it's really annoying not having hotkeys for my mouse buttons, and having to type the betsize in every time - especially when playing HU because you have to type your open size in every other hand.

I'm just a bit wary of moving over to TN2 - having to pay to upgrade and then facing issues with unreliability.

Deposit bonus is probably best. Followed by reload bonus (SPIN150).

I think they did. I thought they were offering it again. Almost jizzed my pants at the thought of another free $150 for doing pretty much nothing. But then I realized it was only offered once per person.

I think it's very honourable of her. It's good to see evidence of people who have a soul in this game.

I think what Amaya is doing is terrible, sure it'll generate "revenue" etc etc, but there are a lot of online poker players who are problem gamblers waiting to happen.

The fact that she went with her gut as well is something we can all aspire to.

I don't really get it. There will always be ways/venues/substances that people can use to **** themselves up. There are fast-food chains all over the world that people love to eat at. If you go there once every couple of weeks after a night of drinking with your friends, it won't do too much harm. However, if you decide to eat at one of these establishments everyday for years on end, you'll probably end up gaining weight and doing permanent damage to your body. Most people don't eat at these places every single day. Some do. We don't outlaw fast-food restaurants though because a couple of over-indulgent dummies decided they want to live off of the dollar menu for the rest of their lives.

It's no different with Casinos. There will definitely be some players who decide to chase losses at the blackjack table when they're on tilt. Some will develop a a gambling problem. If you look at the statistics, though, you'll see that most won't. Something like 3.2% of Canadians have a gambling problem according to Stats Can (2009). That's pretty low.

Honestly, the reason Stars' decision to implement a casino arm upsets me is because I know it's going to make the games worse and harder for me to make money. I don't feel bad about some guy dropping $200 at the blackjack tables on a Sunday afternoon because he's the same guy who's probably stacking off with TPBK on the flop for 150bbs once a week vs. me. Poker is absolutely a predatory game but I don't feel bad about taking people's cheeseburgers because I recognize that the rec players willingly decided to deposit money because they have fun playing poker and understand that losing money while playing is a very real possibility.

I don't know. I guess it's commendable anytime someone chooses morals and values over money, I just don't agree with her stance.
