Not sure but you've definitely came to the right place asking the small stakes NLHE Full ring players.

Not gonna lie I wish scripts also didn't exist, I liked it when lobby game was an area where you compete fairly and gain edges on the weak/lazy but as long as other people are using robots you gotta robot too :/

i think anger towards scripting should be directed at stars. scripting isnt sneaking through some loophole in the rules its legal and out in the open

so far stars has done a good job at realizing 3rd party software is just exposing a weakness. stars has come up with their own table graphic mods and hot keys. they need to change how people are seated in order to eliminate the value in a script but i think theyre using a script solution to leverage some other changes that suit them best

scripting should be eliminated imo but it shouldnt be lumped in with things like table camping, seat blocking, sit in sitout, chat abuse, or colluding

This.

I don't really like the seating scripts, but I am happy for them to stay so long as it means that the regular tables stay as they are for now.

If Stars try to get rid of regular tables and make everything zoom, or keep regular tables but eliminate seat AND table selection, and then dress it all up as them being such a great site and listening to their players - ''You wanted us to do something about seating scripts and after much thought and deliberation we believe that this is the only viable solution, since for any other solution there will be people that find a work-around'' then that is very bad for everyone.

In an ideal world I would like the scripts to go, but if it risks changing the current state of the games and the way the regular tables work, then I don't want to take that risk since whatever change is made will likely be -EV for all regs, and +EV for Stars.

So be careful what you wish for.

If scripts are removed the likelyhood is not that it would be -ev for all regs, infact it may be a net neutral effect but am not certain. I hope stars don't trojan horse some horrendous new format but at the same time I think negating the effect of scripts is more a chance of when rather than if.

some scripts work by observing tables

ok I dont know much about them, I just think its horrible for the rec players, and if your a full time player your going to have no option, but to get one in a couple of months. I assume that's what its like at midstakes now.

Its proper organised though, stars are aware of it.
