had something really weird happen to me just now. i was twotabling 5-10 hu, had 3bet QTs on table one, bet Q64hh and gotten a call (so 480 in the pot). I see the turn come 2s, but the table freezes completely and I cant do anything (can still play normally on table2 so my internet is ofc fine). adding insult to the injury, the sound works just fine so i can hear myself timeout, then him bet (what i assume to be the minimum) and then myself timeout fold.
i obviously head to the live support, furious about losing the equity. in less than 1 minute i get in touch with "jenny", who is surprisingly competent and understands the issue immediately. she explains i probably "lost connection to one of our servers" yadda yadda, and should just boot my internet connection if it was to happen again. I tell her it kind of sucks i have to do that because no way my internet boots fast enough to not timeoutfold the hand, but dont really push the issue since this is the first time this has happened to me (and it should be neutral ev anyways, opponent should disconnect equally often). what completely surprises me is that not only does she admit the problem was in their end, she also grants me a 100usd compensitionary bonus without me even asking. i had just explained the issue without demanding anything. sure, i still lost equity in the DQ but i never expected to get them to admit it was their fault let alone receive any compensation. then she says "you probably saved money from the disconnection anyways

weeeird stuff but i think party handled it okay, definitely less tilted than i was going into the live chat so got to give them credit even though disconnects like that are pretty unfortunate.
