the 3-betting craze wasn't even this bad 5 months ago when I was playing 25nl regularly.

Oh kewl you're at 100NL now, wp!

It has definitely become much more frequent over the last few months. I like it though, it means i'm getting more action with my premiums. Since i dont use a HUD at rush, i make a note of the 3bet monkeys and do well by 4bet bluffing them OOP or flatting IP.

i love 3betting on NL50. I have a 3bet of 6% and i am making alot of money with 3bets. I cannot see being 3bet -EV so why dont do it frequently. I wish i could come closer to 8% 3bet in the future. At first i was at only 4.5% lol such a nit And also when a player with 1.5% 3bets u pretty much know he isnt bluffing u.
Just some solid hand reading postflop and its so easy to play when IP. When OOP just cbet and they fold majority of the time.
Why does everyone play so straightforward in 3bet pots?

But i hate the guys who call my 3bet when i have premium hand and they hit their set, when they r not getting the odds for setmine ....

I 3bet a fair bit myself. I usually 3bet my crap IP and flat my good hands, throws them off. But i am careful when i 3bet and pick my spots. I just love the guys who 3bet habitually, because these are the guys you make money from 4bet bluffing. You make more money from a 4bet bluff than a 3bet bluff!

Thats true, but u must know when they pick upon u 4betting light they are going to start shoving. But thats the point to which NL25 and NL50 regs rarely come expecially in rush. And in rush there is very low 4bet bluffing. Probably thats why its okay to 3bet alot for me.
But i also like to 4bet alot, since i am not a nit myself and they 3bet me quite often.

Thats actually some kind the game of chichken. I know that you know but i know... i remember getting to the point on NL25 on stars FR where regs were shoving over my 4bets with JT type hands. I even started calling 1 or 2 regs with JQ for 100bb stacks.

Thats what makes this game so interesting

I tend not to do that now. Especially not on rush.

i didnt log many hands at 25 and havent played there in a while, but i can count on my fingers and toes the amount of times i/saw someone 4b bluff at that limit.

from what i remember, most of thhe players, regs included were just awful pre and post.

im surprised to hear that there was alot of 3b/4b bluffing there lately

At Rush. Ring games not so much. Rush makes people braver.
04-07-2010 , 08:04 AM
no, i know, i meant rush. game was incredibly soft when i was playing it

They don't have the brains or balls at 25NL Rush, trust me. When they shove (100BB deep), they pretty much always have KK+/AK. I dont bother 4bet bluffing shorties. I only 4bet light the 3bet monkeys. I'll fold to a shove, because i don't commit with my 4bet. I can take the odd shove now and again, i'll make up with it from stealing other 3bets!

I haven't seen hardly any 3B/4B lately either. The Take 2 promo seems to have infested Rush with Nits. Nearly every raise just picks up the blinds.

Pretty odd rakebackpros is so long under maintenance. They extended it today until the 14th....

Well lately i was playing only NL50, so i really cant speak for NL25, sorry if i mislead you.
I dont know what makes rush different, i just prefer it more than the normal tables. And i have no idea about player tendencies on normal tables.
Maybe because i cheat myself that i only play 4 tables and that i am doing good work practising hand reading, although i play 1200 hands/h. When in reality i cant do much hand reaiding playing so fast to be honest.

I find Rush and normal games like 2 completely different games. I like them both but for different reasons.

My comments are only for NL50, too although I've watched a friend play NL10 Rush a bit. Doesn't seem much 3B/4B there either. Maybe it depends on how much 3B/4B you are used to seeing. The old NL50 deep tables used to be 3B heaven. Lately everything has seemed soft.

What's your betsizing for 3bet bluffs? Like 25BB? Or do you go to a more standard 30ish?

Seems like a small 3bet would work since it's small enough to allow you to release if called, but large enough to get to commitment when you aren't bluffing. SPR is 1.5 with 100BB stacks.
04-07-2010 , 08:47 AM
3b to 25bb?

Villain raises $0.75 to $1.00
Hero raises $5.25 to $6.25
