Yeah, I'm not denying we make a ton of pollution. Although I would argue about whether or not to include CO2 on that list. My main point was, that the world is extremely intertwined at this point and you can't look down at the US if you enjoy all the benefits of the world economy and technology.

I absolutely hate Al Gore.... but at the same time I have to hand it to him. He created a market and has the potential to profit billions of dollars. Talk about the ultimate scammer. Gotta respect game.

Yeah, I know and there are plenty of fat, dumb Americans who would make the same mistake. Couldn't resist though.

Anyone know why they shut down the coaching forum?

mpethy, you have inspired me to become a nit. 1hour session, 1000 hands, 11.8/8.8 and >30BB/100.

12/9 may be challenging to continue long term. Mainly because when I see those nitty numbers, I see so many missed opportunities with the narrow range.

As someone who could give a flying fart about results, I am never the less constantly impressed with nit results. Just like nit poker, LAG poker is still ABC poker - just with a few different spots mixed in. All of the styles work, but it really comes down to overall profit, and also keeping the style appropriate to what comes naturally for the individual.

Nit is semi-natural for me. I'm just impressed with long term nits - very impressive discipline.

This is the google image result for "hot chick nit"

American are indulgent in their lifestyles, but there needs to be some concession instead of just having a straight cap, since we have a growing population and most European nations will not have one in the next 25 years.

Gore gots game! When the US economy is tanking and the auto industry is getting bailed out, our current Administration hands Al $529,000,000.00 so he may GO TO FINLAND AND BUILD GREEN CARS!!!! WTF?!?!?! How about American jobs??? How about the "energy" needed to ship these green cars BACK TO THE STATES???? LOL Link

So while Obama is repeating the mantra of "inheritance" and talking job growth, they ship 529mm to Finland for Mr The Ice is Melting and focus on health-care which, by polls, very few are in favor of but WOULD like more legislation to increase jobs, please??? And the Left wonders why Obama is currently tanking in opinion polls??? c'mon now...

Sidebar: I was never a Johnny Mac fan either. From votes he made back in the 70's and nothing to do with today. I'm not an Obama fan either as I knew his pre-election rhetoric was just that. Though I publicly admitted I agreed with them, and if he stood by them I would support and defend him. So had he stood by his no earmarks, transparency in govt, no lobbyists in HIS administration, cutting out the "pork", open to public viewing C-SPAN meetings, etc... I would have been supportive of him.

Fact is, he reneged on virtually all of his platform. Charm, charisma, speaking skillfully and good teleprompter presence wins elections, but as polls show, his supporters are leaving him in droves now. In fact, he was a moron for coining the term "man made disasters" in place of "terrorist acts"... jeebus.

I've recently been trying to nit it up. Not because I necessarily want to be a nit, but because I've been ending up on table more amenable to that style. I'm amazed at how often I get paid off with my monsters. I've been playing so predictably straight forward. If I 3bet, you pretty much know what cards I have to within a few hands. But people still want to pay me off. I think I'll just stick with this style.

Also, last night, I got berated by a guy. I had AK with A high on a 3 flush board. The pot was like $3 and villain had like $2.50 left. So I shoved in my stack. He then called me an idiot for shoving my whole stack in with TPTK on a 3 flush board. I tried to explain to him that I wasn't really shoving my entire stack since I was only putting $2.50 at risk. He just wouldn't have it and kept insisting that I put my ENTIRE stack at risk.

I swear, short stackers are the dumbest people ever.

When **** happens I start trying to take joy in the little things... Like draggin small pots where I played well. If you make it out mentally that, big wins out of small pots where you play well then, you forget about the big losses quickly.. n eventually you've dragged a big one and it's like meh.. I've been winning pots all night, that was bound to happen- suddenly you're evens and you forget the downswongs even occurred.

but then in the extreme case that I can't win a single pot, I have the noose ready... for some autoerotic asphyxiation! gotta have some joy in the day eh !!

Since we aren't going to be able to give those promised changes by the end of the year, I at least wanted to give a little information about the nature of the changes, so some of the speculation can end. To answer the most commonly asked question: we *are* going to raise the minimum buy-in on standard (no icon) tables. That’s not all we’re going to do, but that’s the biggest change. And that's all I can say about that until the update.

Sorry about the delay, we're all pretty excited about the next update and weren't happy to see the date get moved.
