Seemingly spreading like a disease. Maybe it's fun and we should do it ourselves?

Oh wait, misunderstood... Mine is quarters too hehe. Ah well, good to see I'm not the only one who's able to create a mountain-graph (sorry you're the other one though )

Shortstacking is actually pretty boring. A lot of waiting and not much strategy.

Teaching fish to autotop FTW

with all the talk about players berating bad play, i just ripped some ass... it appears Toonice100 was lucky enough to hit his "outs" for a set of 10's and stacked some goober in one of those raising wars... the fish was next to me when this moaron gos on a rampage about what was the fish raising him with --- AFTER the fish RELOADS!!!! WTF?!?!? then the fish LEAVES and only regs and this moaron is left...

he really pissed me off so i went after him and flat got on him about running the guy AWAY AFTER HE RELOADS 100BB's!!! i think he got the gist and he apologized... prolly turned me into TOS for calling him a fkn moaron and idiot.

nothing like trying to build your 'roll, table select diligently, get a good seat and some ******* ruins the table in 15 minutes.

Heh, fish beraters are usually fish themselves. I don't berate fish, but I try to say things that suggest that I have no idea what I'm doing. Saying things like poker is basically roulette with cards and it's all luck.
10-12-2009 , 12:23 AM
I really don't think berating the fish is that big of a deal. I mean, I haven't done it in forever, but I don't freak out if someone does. A lot of the fish are just degenerates who are going to gamble no matter what.
Types of berating:
  • "You r a donk, u gonna be broke by the end of the night you fish!"
I really think this isn't a huge deal. It might induce spazz. Most donks think they are good at poker, and some internet punk isn't going to convince them otherwise.
  • "You luckbox, you know you hit a 4 outer, right?"
Kinda the same thing, maybe a little worse. I really don't think it is going to convince someone to cash out though.
  • "U suck, [racist comments if they aren't from US]"
Obviously this is ethically wrong, not really sure if players really get offended by this type of stuff.
  • "Man you are a 52/0, you are going to be broke soon" What does 52/0 mean? "[I use pokertracker and that is how I have an edge]"
Not cool. Obviously this has a decent chance of scaring away fish.
  • "Go to pokertableratings.com, you are down $2k so far, loser"
Not cool either. Don't want fish to know they are losing that much money.

question regarding multi-tabling on FT.

at what point did some of you find hotkeys become a necessity? i can handle up to 9 clicking on the slider. ive been putting off getting table ninja or whatever. are they really that good for say 12 tabling?

table ninja for FTP is a donation software program right now... no need to not be using it and send the maker a few pesos

I can 16 table without software, but it obv helps. It is pretty easy to set up TN so there really isn't a reason not too if you are playing ~10+ tables. You can turn off what you don't like. I would use the auto click time bank at the very minimum.

well if thats the case i'd just as soon have them degen at my table... not reload, and then get run off. this guy was an ass that happened to hit a set, that's all... then he proceeded to ruin the table... between dancing around SS'ers, screening tables, etc, this guy went too far, and kept it up, until the soft seat left, then it did become a big deal.

I'm kinda confused. So player A stacks fish, and then player A berates fish? If so, that is pretty messed up.

My insight was referring to the opposite situation, where fish stacks player A, and then player A berates. I think in this situation, the joy of winning poker/money outweighs some "punk kids" criticism and fish isn't really going to be too offended, he just won a stack, he can't be that bad. Just imo though.

what do you guys think about this? the action he's getting, i think he could have easily gotten 5:1. he stand to make 40k if successful, that's before bonuses. who the heck would have thought that you can make that much in a month playing NL100.

jeez. the action he is getting is insane. every post is like "my 4k to your 1k". No one is giving him a chance. Looks like he moved the line to 5-1?
10-12-2009 , 01:18 AM
i think he has already booked his initial 5k to 20k. whatever's left is 5:1......truly mad if he can pull it off and i can't wait to follow his progress...

Hi guys. Most of my action is on Stars, but I play a little on full tilt as well. My roommate wants to start playing poker online (we got to the local casino most weekends for kicks), and is planning to play FT for rakeback. I'm just wondering if you guys know how full tilt handles two accounts playing from the same IP address?

Should we avoid playing at the same time, or just avoid being at the same table together? Does FT even allow you to have two accounts running on the same connection? Obv. deposit/withdrawal accounts will be different, so we shouldn't need to worry about that.

Thanks!

now you got it... i can live with the other side of the coin when the fish gets lucky but damn... this guy stacks the fish, fish reloads, and he rides this guys butt about making raises to the point the poor guy leaves with his fiddy!

very difficult bet, I wanted to put 1k on it but he had too much action

not impossible though, a $20k month at 100nl has been done before, but it's a sick grind
