$20,000 at 100nl in 31 days Rules and Betting Thread

This thread is for placing your bets and to make sure the rules and conditions of the bet are agreeable to the bettors.

I am proposing that I, Ponder on 2+2 and ATLienCP on pokerstars, will win $20,000 at 100nl/pl on pokerstars fullring tables in a 31 day time span.

Odds: 4:1 (ex: your $4000 to win my $1000)

Minimum bet of $1000(min bet may be lowered on action exceeding my first 5k)

I am looking bet 5,000 to win 20,000 total. There seems to be an excess of interest at these odds as a result of this I will likely be taking bettors that have stars accounts are betting more and are not nl200/100 regulars as a priority.

I will likely be willing to bet more at 5-1 after the initial 4-1 bets are booked. This line change is to reflect the added risk and a shift in value as a result of the level of demand. Min bet not yet determined at 5-1.

Rules:

1. All hands will be played at PokerStars $.50/$1 blinds NL/PL hold'em full ring tables. Any hands at any other site/stakes/game/table size will not qualify for or against ATLienCP.

2. All hands with 2 or more players (including ATLienCP), at tables specified in rule 1, will qualify.

3. ATLienCP must win a minimum of $20,000 USD at the tables (at any point within the specified date range) after rake, to win this bet. FPPs/cash bonuses, nor any other type of bonuses will be included in total winnings. Anything less than $20,000 USD won will qualify as a loss to ATLienCP.

4. Duration of the bet will be 31 continuous full days. Date to start/end will be announced in advance. Hopefully 10/16/2009.

5. Scotty from Pokerstars will verify all results. Hand Histories will not be shared with bettors but will be shared with the judge at the end of the bet should the judge request them to assist him in resolving any sort of dispute.

6. If Pokerstars is inaccessible or unplayable due to server side issues (such as maintenence, server crashes,unplayable lag)then ATLienCP will be credited with additional time to compensate for the downtime (assuming he was going to play during the downtime). The amount of time credited will be equal to the duration of the downtime. If he attempts to play and PokerStars is down, he will post in this thread saying the site is down.

7. Upon verification by Scottyy or a Pokerstars representative and affirmed by the judge that ATLienCP won at least $20,000 at any point during the month will result in ATLienCP winning the bet.

8. If for any reason the result cannot be determined or the bet is tainted in a an irresolvable manner the judge is given authority to deem the bet a wash and return all bets. This rule is for insuring all parties against the unforeseeable.

9. If for any reason there is a death in my family or I am hospitalized for something out of my control(no self induced injuries or injuries incurred as a result of this bet will qualify) the judge will rule and determine if the bet is to continue at a later date or is off completely.

10.Those who wager are strictly prohibited from sitting at my tables unless you are a regular or a semi regular at .50/1 and or 1/2 NL fullring. So if you normally play higher, you will not be allowed to play on my tables. You also are not allowed to sabotage my tables in any sort of way(slowing play collosion on the tables etc). If the judges feel they have enough substantiated proof of a violation of this rule, this will result in a forfeiter of the violating individual's wager. This should be thought of as a kind of honor code.

11. Regular Updates are not required but I will do my best to do so out of respect to the bettors and for the entertainment of the community.

12. I must have a web cam on while I play with the caveat that I will not be disqualified for accidental, technical or sitehosting problems with the webcam.

13. The judge will be the honorable Chicagojoey.

14. The escrow will be the respectable Rays champs in 08. I have emailed ScottY in regards to him deducting the amount wagered and returning it upon completion of the bet and am waiting on his reply.

These rules maybe subject to change as result of discussion in this thread(prospective bettors only please). I am looking to get started on 10/16/2009 so lets get this figured out asap.

These rules are a modified amalgamation of ones written and used by Zenzor and Hodge05 all due thanks and credit to them.
