It's hard to imagine someone beating those games with those stats. You're showing up at 16/12 in my 2/4 mines. That's how I played a year ago at 1/2.
06-24-2008 , 09:23 PM
Lower end of 20% is normal... probably around 24% is the most standard. Mine was 21% IIRC. There are definitely some very successful players with a WTSD of about 30%, but imo most of the regs I've encountered that have that stat that high are pretty mediocre or bad.
06-24-2008 , 09:31 PM
That's strange. I'm slightly more than 28% over the last 60k hands. Maybe it's style dependent..
06-24-2008 , 09:36 PM
It definitely is, and there's definitely nothing wrong with it being that high.
06-24-2008 , 10:33 PM
i think cts's WTSD is like 30.

yup it's definitely style dependent. CTS is picking up more pots WWSF vs WT@SD than tighter players. ABC tags/nits typically are looking to make all their money @ SD while LAGs are trying to pickup the small pots.

Here is a stat that I grabbed from CTS's blog I think back in November? Could be December... don't remember:

EDIT: actually I'm taking down the image. I should probably ask permission before just posting it where I feel like. At any rate his WWSF is about 49% while WTSD is at 30 W@SD is 49. Plays a 35/29 game which has probably changed since Nov/Dec

i think this was true in 2006 but more shortstackers + higher aggression means showing down is 'in'. i can't imagine there are that many regs below 25.

then its not the same person because he used to fold postflop pretty easily when scare cards came. not to mention the huge difference in stats from 2/4 to 5/10.

Signed,

sad emo people_mover
when ur playing this tight u can get away with playing very aggro - just my 2 cents
06-25-2008 , 02:09 AM
friday4am plz play more often lol
06-25-2008 , 02:10 AM
It would seem to me that if you play that tight and only have 40% won when seen flop, you probably need a coach.
