garbage ones are garbage yes. But many ppl would disagree with you on that.

And it made it easier for me to not smoke, so how is that bad?

Just my opinion obviously about the ecigs. Didn't feel the same to me.

Also coffee & cig > beer & cig

Its def not "the same" but if you get a decent device, its really easy to taper any cravings and slowly wean (although I know a lot of ppl that totally replaced smoking with ecigs, rather than using it to quit the nicotine addiction entirely)

Should note: things like Blu or the ecigs they sell in stores are not anywhere near decent devices

The wife and I used one (not Blu) for a few months and tried some different solutions we got online. Can't vouch for the quality but I needed to feel the fire in my lungs.

I can see them being useful if someone was attempting to quit though.

I gotta admit, I enjoyed sitting in your living room while you smoked the e-cig better than I would have with you smoking a real cig.

Haha. I have never smoked inside anyways. The smell of stale smoke should never be appreciated

True, I've never smoked inside. I felt bad for Brky last time I played cards at his friends house and he was outnumbered by the smokers and had to be put through it.

Yeah, I've def had worse though. At one place, it was like 9 players, 6 smokers, around a large kitchen table, under a ceiling fan. It was like all the smoke came right at me.

That's how it was for me at the casino about a week ago or so on a Saturday night. I was at one of the closest tables to the smoking section, sitting in the seat at that table, closest to the railing of the smoking section of the casino. Basically, whenever someone wanted to light up, they did it right there, for hours on end... I kind of want to punch smokers now after making me have this cough for the past week or so since that night.

Lol this reminds me of this diner we used to go to in high school. It was literally one room, with booths on one side, and tables on the other. Couldnt have been more than 25 feet wide. The tables were in the "smoking" section and the booths were in the non. Always made me lol because there was no difference, the smoke went everywhere

Came across this video tonight, so sick, kinda funny how in just 1 minute he goes from going through a toll booth and onto a highway to hitting 299 km/hr on his odometer. Should really get my motorcycle license one of these days..

first, you don't notice anything. it's all good. you socialize, and you meet other smokers. some of these people become your friends, but only for a short period of time as they begin to develop health problems.

you're starting to gain a little weight as you age, so you organize a little workout group with some of your friends. the first day of your schedule, you notice your breath has become a lot shorter than what you thought. you're thinking "it's all the cigarette smoking", but because most of what you do is lift weights, you don't really think about it. you come home that night, and you're lying in bed with the beautiful mother of your children when suddenly you hear a little wheezing when you breathe. it's probably just the flu or something. two weeks later, when you've had no symptoms of the flu, you go to the doctor. they do a long series of tests on you, then a week later, they drop the bomb. you've got lung cancer, and it's fairly advanced. you've got nine weeks left to live unless you opt for chemotherapy, which puts your chances of survival at 10 %. you play poker, so you know how 10 % feels. tell me, how does it feel to live on borrowed time?

it's a long process of chemotherapy. most of your time is spent in a hospital, and all you see is disease. you see other cancer patients like yourself, and you go to therapy groups to meet others who deal with same issues you do. you even connect to some of these people, and they become your friends, but friendships in the cancer ward don't last very long.

you feel your body become weaker and weaker. you lose all your hair. eventually it even hurts to breathe. your family spends all of their time in the hospital. your children suffer at school, knowing their dad's about to die. they make every moment a moment to remember, clinging on to your life for as long as they can. you even make it to your own birthday. they bring you a birthday cake, and food. your kids even made you a present, a giant drawing that says "we love you dad", signed by them both. it's a drawing of your family outside their house. mommy, who's nearly 8 inches shorter than you is almost as big as you are, and you're almost as big as the house you call your home. the house you'll never see again.

it's the evening of your birthday, usually a celebratory occasion. you are weak. years ago, you would be out drinking with your friends. not tonight. tonight, your fate is sealed. you die. you're gone. forever. you went towards the light at the end of the tunnel, hoping for some kind of redemption. turns out, it was the light of your life. as you got closer to it, it went away. it faded away, and left a trail of smoke in its wake.

the painful phone calls are made, and the arrangements are made. the funeral is a total mess. everyone's crying their heart out. your parents have lost a son. your siblings, or your best friends have lost a brother. your children have lost their father. others are there out of respect. they say nice things about you. "he was always such a sociable guy", and "he was the perfect partner". people who shared cigarettes with you only a couple of months before cannot believe you are gone.

ten years later, one of your children starts experiencing shortness of breath...
