I had plans to get it in on the flop if villian 4bet me there. After he flatted, I wasn't sure if raising or calling was better on the turn. I just figured his minraise on the flop indicated he had at least a top pair hand which I figured he'd stack off with. Would anyone have played it differently on the turn? Anybody like to get it in there better than calling? Also what do you think about the flop 3bet sizing?

Calling is much better on the turn because he is going to minraise you with his overpairs and sets (very likely holdings), and you're not doing great against those hands. Maybe you get him to fold an 8? I think even then there's more value in calling and getting more money on the river when you hit than there is trying to get him to fold. You have 17 cards to a very strong hand, but right now you're behind even the weakest 8, and I don't like trying to push fish off of a hand.

Everything else looks fine. Nice hand.

With all these line checks at every level the opp is described as a fish. It is rare for a 2+2er to be playing another good player.

His $3 Turn bet does seem mega fishy. It appears you were thrown off by his flat on the Flop and shut down.

This seems absolutely fine. If you think he never folds a pair, why put money in with 9-high? He is fishy because he won't fold, so don't bet a lot unless you have it. If he's been betting 1/5th the pot, then check and call with all your draws. Leading any amount at all on this turn is bad after he calls on the flop. You can't win at showdown yet, and you can't win without showdown against this player.

Sorry, I missed it.

It's actually really hard to play draws awesome against these guys. If you get it in you're like a 60-40 favorite, which is good but not awesome. They usually have air and will fold once you make your hand and step on the gas.

Best play imo is c/c until you've spiked a made hand and then do some CiB and small betting and weird stuff to jiggle his ****** switch.

I think betting flop is fine but I'd just pause 15 seconds and then flat the minraise. I agree with c/c turn. If you spike turn or river, wait like 20 seconds and then make a small bet or something; just about anything odd sets these guys' spewmonkey tendencies off.

I pray to find those player types all day. I usually just check/call them until I hit my draw. They'll pay off and usually bet like he did here....small giving you great odds.
