Lol at that over shove. It's safe to say that he wants to be called. Flush + the fact that the board is paired. Fold.

Standard. He overbet the flop which suggests strength, so I'd raise flop more.

EDIT: Please don't stab your cat.

Id raise pre since I dont let ppl limp their sb, if he keeps folding, keep doing it, if he calls stop doing it with junk.

id bet all streets bigger(closer to pot) since its a limped pot and you wannna get stacks in by the river, fold river, sux, thank him for letting u play perfectly

I would raise here preflop against most players, but not against a 40/8/3. However, if he's pretty straightforward then a raise here IS correct, since you'll take it down on the flop more often than not.

why not against a 40/8/3? how do his stats affect your play here?

is it because he's likely a calling station?

Yes. It's slightly too weak, imo.

Again, if he's straightforward postflop then it's definitely correct to raise.

ya youve got a point, but theres always 2types of those 40/8 60/10 etc... some of them limp/call preflop and then continue with their calling postflop, whilst others just wanna see flops cheaply and limp/fold pre.

Yeah you're right, probably is best to raise here to figure out what kind of player he is.
