Just been on a massive heater.

Earlier today the balance was down to $240 and my chances of making the target seemed remote..

But now on $3,640!

Playing well (the last guy I played accused me of being able to see his cards because i always made the right play!) and getting lucky.. when I reach $5,000 I'm getting back into $570's.

Ps.. If you are sick of me posting updates, just say the word and I'll quit.

sigh, -$4,088 from PCA / LAPT rebuy sattellites, so many FTs gone horribly wrong, as long as I win a seat before spending my $14,300th dollar, I guess it could be worse =/

I'm kinda curious at how this is justifiable with your recent loss? I don't know, I wouldn't be messing with those variancefests in your position I guess...

Pretty sure primo been crushing 4mans.

Forgot to mention the 15k upswing (45k if you count just winnings?) from husngs though?

yea, i've been on a pretty solid heater since that luckily. my SS is a bit off cause of 4men but still I am prolly +15kish + a 4k bonus cleared and my loan repayed and another 3k bonus in the process of being cleared and about $1500 in FPP... so luckily i've had about as good as a start to the recovery as I could hope for... and TBH it's prolly not justifyable, but skates got me completely hooked on them and I had a billion chances with huge equity in the final 5 or final 3 and I know its very +EV for me even if the variance is insane and im prolly gonna busto on them =/

(this SS graph is since the 17th of October... not even sure if thats when I restarted, could have been the 21st or something)

oh, and I guess it's not off that much, this is the same sample (Oct 17th -> now) for just 2mans

clearly I don't think you're a degenerate or idiot, I'm just surprised I guess. My first motivation would be getting back to having 30 or 40k or whatever in the bank... I guess you really want to go to the PCA though haha

sadly I do, it seems like EVERYBODY i've ever known in poker is going and just going to be such an awsome time, and I would love to do something nice for the gf and take her on a sick vacation, and she's always wanted to watch if I played a big tourney and couldnt come to San Remo, etc., etc., so I dunno, im positive im +EV in these satts and I really wanna go so i've just kind of committed, and if things wernt going so well in HU SNG it'd be diff, but my last 4 days have been like +2500, +3xxx, +5900, and +3k today and it's so easy to talk myself into playing some 33Rs when im having days like that, but im sure it'll fade soon, i'll down swing, and then stop playing and be stuck 4k+ on them =/
11-06-2008 , 05:20 PM
what happened to HFL?

Dude,

Just find a 1k buyin mtt somewhere nice, put another 1-2k aside and take the gf.

That's 2-3k and you're not losing 25% of your roll on 33r that actually turn out to be like 500 dollar buyin mtts for you, which despite your recent success you're still not rolled for!

I'm sure it doesn't help that there seem to be so many regulars at the FT hands ppl keep sending me in those sats. I see people like shaundeeb (lol shaun, I know you're going to search yourself and see this post like the last time I typed your name) woltas and even a few really top tier players I can't think of right now in the HHs ppl have sent me of those PCA sats. Maybe +EV, but surely a degenerate thing to be doing.

but skates won 5 seats... and everybodys going... and I wanna go to bahamas... ;(, and croix took 3rd for 550k... and... and... and... =/

edit: and also, when from the final 20+ it's like the CL has 10-15bb, the big MTTrs really dont have that big of an edge if your competent, so it's not like they really have a huge advantage, but I knowwwwwwwwwwwww
11-06-2008 , 05:36 PM
prim,

in these rebuys, are there more than one seat paid?
how many of them run/day?

4 run / day, usually 1 seat w/small overlay for the first one ($1,000 - 3,000 overlay) , and for the next 3 there are usually 1 seat + 5 - 16 $650 rebates.

i've only ever seen 1 get to 2 seats, and there are usually 17-30 players left after add-on period

10-15bb is less edge than 25+ isn't it?

And your comparisons are justified if you had all your roll from the last few months, but you don't so they aren't. I'm familiar with both player's rolls, and they are much > than yours (and mine).

ive decided that 6-tabling HUSNGS is -EV. cashed out a lot lately / downswinging so all I had was 2 $75 tourney tokens, spent one and came 1st in a 45 man. Then turned that 1100 into 2800 at 1-2 6-max. And then I started 6 tabling HUSNGs and lost back 2k. I think 4 is probably the most I could do and still be +EV. 2 or 3 is definitely fine. But 6 is chaotic and I time out and get confused and stuff

This may well be telling y'all something you already know, but I'm gonna say it anyways.

The standard of play now (approx 17:00 ET) at 115's and 230's is about 100 times higher than at about 7:00 ET.

It's been ages since I played this stretch of time. And I think in the new year, I will move all my play to earlier in the day.

Yes, early mornings and late nights are usually when I find the most fish (except really slow weekday nights).

This is early evening/late afternoon for me Camel, and there don't seem to be nearly as many fish on as the other two times. At least not for husngs.
