I might consider 3 betting a guy like this preflop but not sure how much that matters.

its hard to say really. everyone here is going to tell you to ship it. Your are like 50/50 if he has AA and about the same if he has AK and about a 3 to 1 dog if he has a set and probably a decent favorite against just about everything else. Probably does not matter much if you ship it or call really his line seems like he has a big hand but you never know i guess.

Its very important to your equity to get the last bet in with power draws.

yeah I would 3bet this normally but I like to call until I get a feel on how much my opponent is stealing, I dont mind playing this hand in position.

but yah I figure im getting it in even if he has AA or a set im going to pay him off. If he doesnt im wandering if I should just call and let him barrel the turn. The only scare card for me is an ace or a pair to the board.

Download Pokerstove and set a range....see what happens to your equity from various turns.

Your equity either crushes his range or has ~ equality.
Its very important to get in the habit of raising when in front.
Its more important to get your villians to make mistakes as early in the hand as posssible.....it will make you harder to play against.

Don't worry so much about your 3-betting ranges until you get a better handle on equity and flop play.

GL @ the tables.
