Hey,

Just played 2 tables against a giant losing reg, hes lost 40k+ over 300k hands on PTR (which only shows a part of our winnings/loss)

Guy loses at nl50, nl100, nl200, nl400, nl600, nl1000... I think he played a couple of hands at nl5000...like wtf.. all HU

Thing is.. after 140 hands, I cant manage to find him leaks... apart the fact he calls only 30% 3bets.. But when I realised and tried to 3bet more trash, he started 4betting... like wtf how can you lose 40-50k $ at hu and adjust like this..

- Guy is really agressive, can 2 barrels in some spots, but seems to know when to stop his action
- Doesnt get out of line when I 4bet him
- Doest raise all his button, but most of them
- Calls only 15-20% from BB
- Calls like 60 % of my cbets, doesnt float too much, but sometime does, not too donk too..

There has to be a way this guy is losing soooo much money.. Unless hes playing top regs at every limit he plays.. He seemed solid..

opinions on how to beat a losing reg like this ? Is the only way to beat those guys is to make tilt? tricks?

oh fk.. just saw the guy was up 100k in mtts on OPR... but down 40k in cash game...

still, how can I beat him ? If hes up so much over 15k mtts games.. he has to be a good player, though hes lost just so much in HU..!

How did HU players took so much from him ? ( hes down from 2 to 6 BB/100 per limit)

EDIT: one of PTR's comments:

juicey, wall i just played him for half hour and it was like pushing string!! no value at all ......

Seems like i'm not alone on his case

EDIT2

Hes a 180players mtt player

.. won a 1k tuesday too...

Most good MTT players have a decent preflop/flop play

Turn & river they suck at.

But thats just my general thoughts to mtt players.

"Calls only 15-20% from BB"... imo its leak.. i would start to open/min open 100% from btn that's 1st thing... then if he starts get uncomfortable would adjust more.. maybe he will get frustrated and starts tilt and gets in superagro mode and so on...

There are a ton of players that are strategically competent but still cant beat the game due to a lack of discipline

contrary to what PD believes there are ppl that will get beat pretty badly by the best MS/HS hu players yet be very competitive at .25/.50-1/2

Overall winrate? Losing 40k while playing some 5knl is kinda w/e, could be runbad. Also as mentioned a winning 50nl reg could easily be a huge dog playing really good 1knl regs. And he's just an mtt reg apparently so seems standard that his HU play would be against all regs no fish and if he tilts/clicks buttons a lot makes perfect sense.

Make him tilt because that surely is his leak, bluff a few times and show, make weird pot bets. Just make sure you yourself are disciplined enough to pull this off.

I played the same guy this month(I'm assuming this by the ptr comment/similar winrate), and found the same sorta thing, I quit him after around 30 mins cause I realised I could only grind out a win of like/6bb's. So I'm guessing if he never adjusts hes just slowly bleeding that 40k away, hes probs just addicted to
HU, like I and Im sure others love HUPLO, even though it's defo minus ev for me to play lol

Good idea quitting someone you only have a 6bb/100 edge on. LOL

Listen, here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in the first half hour at the table, then you ARE the sucker.
