Vallian runs 18/12/6.5 in 300hands, 3bet=2.2, ccpf=10.6.
Don't have else read on him.

He called cbet, I think any Ace(even some AK) is in his range. FD, 43, 54, of course 55 and 22 are also possible.

Since it's CO vs SB, I think I may get 3 street value from worse Ace.
Or is it too dangerous with TPGK only so I should control the pot by checking turn behind?

As played on the turn, I think his range has me crushed.

Any comment will be greatly appreciated.

FWIW, I'm bluffing at this sort of board a lot. I love bluffing on paired boards.

Gotta hand read here. What is the range that you think he will call from the SB? Does it make sense for him to have a 5? It might, I see people call with all sorts of trash from the blinds. Is he capable of bluffing?

You've got to think of your hand as a bluff catcher here. If he's betting for value, it's certainly not with a hand that loses to AJ. The easy answer is that if you believe what he's repping with the big raise, then you must fold.

With this villain, I think a check behind on turn might have been better choice. Your sample isn't huge, but 300 hands is getting there. This villain doesn't call that much, so the antennae have to go up on the flop. Opting to get to a cheap showdown has some merit here.

As played, this is a clear fold.

I disagree with checking back the turn... You can get paid from FDs, most Ax hands, especially if he has a hand like A3 or A2 (depends how loose he is defending) here, even some midpairs (77+) here because cbetting an A high flop is so obv. A lot of these hands will not call a river bet assuming the draws brick off apart from weak aces. Also the 5 is a very nice barrel card.

We should however only be interested in 2 streets of value from this hand against this opponent imo. CO vs SB, he really isnt putting 3 streets in with A8.

I play this the same, and obv fold to turn c/r.
