Villian was about 20/20/2 over only 20 hands.

He c bet with a PSB once and folded to a large raise, other than that no reads.

Obviously once he calls my 4 bet we can narrow his hands down to something like AK, QQ+, though he may call with JJ too, I dunno.

So the A hits a huge part of his range.

I don't see betting the flop as being good as it makes QQ fold and commits us to the pot against all the hands that beat us.

When he checks the turn as well I start to think he might have QQ and the river bet might be a bluff.

Do you call?

that indeed a tough spot.
instinct says fold, but if you are fimiliar with villian it might, in some cases, be a call.

anyway, bet 1/2-2/3 pot on the flop, fold to a raise.

40% of the time i bet-fold flop 17$ on flop
40% of the time i try and pick up the pot on the turn.
20% of the time i just walk away from the pc and leave it to time out and go smoke a J thinking to my self "its going to be one of those days again :I "

Same reason as not betting the flop, though given he checked behind on flop it makes QQ more likely.
Then again, he may just be trapping as he does not need to build the pot that much here to stack me.

On river, nothing will call us that we beat, and the effective stacks are such that he can't bluff.

Not an option - have job interviews so will probably have to do one of those pee tests.

if youve got a read that hes going to look you up light on the flop then from my experiance with these type of villains is always bet to if checked to on the flop.
thats why im more inclined to try and pick this pot on the turn.

I assume you're saying this because when I check it confirms I don't have an ace and so can be bluffed.

How much do you bet? 1/3 pot?
