Im new to cash HU. Primarily play MTTs. Have to say im finding it quite a rush (apart from fact im finding opponents seem to take it personally lol)

Anyway, villain was typically aggro. 67/50 or something similair. Im guessing i was precieved as nity - ~50/39??? Villain didnt get too much out of line post flop.

My thinking was,

Called flop 2bet with top pair thinking hes possibly fos.

Turned str8 draw with TP. Thinking at this stage villains range polarized to air and monsters so couldnt see point in shoving but cant fold that right ?(even though its a psb).

After dont improve on river is this an easy fold or should I be *sigh* calling?

Deffo felt a bit lost with this hand. Any comments appreciated.

If he's not getting out of line much, folding to the flop c/r is prob best. Once you call the turn, you should call river imo.

So unless villain lag post flop, folding tp to a c/r would be pretty standard here? (not disagreeing - just trying to get the model right in my head).

yeah you want to be c/r hands that you want to get it in with so kj and qj come to mind as well as draws and sets so once hes done this its unlikly that hes c/r three barreling with air straight draws rivered trips and theres no missed fd to put him on if you think that he will c/r seldom then maybe its worth folding flop.

^what they said

just a general suggestion, for vpip I would look at what they are doing from the btn and what they are doing from the bb rather than putting the two together like I'm guessing you do in mtts. I'm sure you're aware of the significance, but some players will not be aware of the importance of position etc and its a more accurate way of categorizing a player type i think, plus you will be playing a lot of hands together (providing they don't hit and run) so its quite reliable
