Hi,

Villain is 13/9 over a descent sample size.

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.50(BB) Replayer
SB ($44.59)
BB ($65.13)
UTG ($52.87)
UTG+1 ($27.16)
Hero ($61.02)
MP1 ($60.69)
MP2 ($50)
CO ($31.69)
BTN ($50)

CO posts $0.50
CO posts $0.25

Dealt to Hero A K

fold, fold, Hero raises to $2.25, fold, fold, fold, BTN calls $2.25, fold, fold

FLOP ($6) 2 4 7

Hero bets $3, BTN calls $3

TURN ($12) 2 4 7 5

Hero bets $7.25, BTN calls $7.25

RIVER ($26.50) 2 4 7 5 A

Hero bets $11, BTN raises to $37.50 (AI), Hero ?

His range here is a set 100% of the time or am I leveling myself please ?

Turn should be check /fold . As played - fold to river raise. This guy would not call 2 streets with Ax type of hands on that board , 68 doesnt seem to be in his range neither . Seems like a set to me .

Why would you c/f turn please ?

I have a great equity : a spade, a 3 and an A/K on the river can give me the best hand. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure he folds his small pocket pair to a turn bet.

First thing to understand is how he plays his flopped sets on that board, i.e. is he flatting every time?

Thanks for your post.

I forgot to tell you that I'm almost certain that villain does not raise with a set on this flop.

b/f river is fine.

you beat a bluff, he's 13/9, and you raised in ep. not a hard decision here. the bigger decision is whether or not the river is a bet since you're repping Ax/TT+ and 13/9s don't pay off lightly. river could easily be a c/f.

c/f turn is pretty bad. c/c is better than c/f.

As played b/f river. Am I the only one that doesn't like the bet sizing throughout?

why would turn be a c/f?

Why so big pre?

Flop and turn bet are fine. C/f the turn is ludicrous with so much equity.

River is fine to b/f.

bet call is great vs some opponents.

My 2 cents, everything I say is up for debate!

PF is fine.

I think your sizing on the flop is messed up. If you had an OP you would be betting more on this low board.

What is villain fold vs CB? I think betting this flop vs someone calling a lot is a bad idea. Since villain is a tag, he has a set or an overpair or an oesd or some sort of pair+backdoor a lot of the time. What are your PFR and CB stats? Villain may float with overs here to try to take it on the turn in case you check to him.

I like turn bet as a block bet to try to catch your outs on the river, but I would prefer a smaller bet.

River is a check/call in my opinion. He probably won't call too many second best hands on a rivered ace to justify your bet.

As played, it's a fold on the river.

I don't love the flop cbet but after picking up the nut flush draw on the turn, the turn cbet is ok. And a fold to the riv raise is best with out some sort of read that he likes to bluff raise the riv a lot. It hard from him to get to the river with many Ax hands even if you think he would raise them for value on the riv, but that not likely anyway.

I don't play 50NL but this is surely a very easy river fold? I think you are only thinking about it because you got a hand on the river. Pretend we flopped TPTK and played this exactly the same way, are we ever calling a river raise?

i dislike villain's line with any value hand here, but i think he has 33 here far more than he has a set here. easy river b/f anyway, but make it at least $14 please.
