SB was obviously pretty bad, UTG kind of a calling station, especially PF he called nearly atc and pretty passive overall...

Does this look standard?

Cheers

Anything wrong with betting the river here? A calling station could easily pay off here with Kx, maybe even Jx or the nut flush draw that rivered an Ace. Sure, he could have made Aces up or a straight, but we'll have to pay off his bet anyway, and a check is unlikely to induce a bluff from this kind of player.

I didn't bet the river, to give him an opportunity to bluff his missed FDs if he then has one... He will not call another bet with a draw anyway. And I'm pretty certain he won't bluff-shove us, like almost never.

By check-calling we also minimize the losses we take, if he indeed has a better holding, like a straight, or some Ax 2 pair (or an unlikely set). He will certainly bet those holdings, or shove over our bet, in which case we would have to pay approximately more than double the amount compared to when we just check/call. C/c this achieves getting a (bit) cheaper showdown vs these hands.

Both cases save us money // maximize our profit, so I think this a perfect spot to c/c the river...

cheers

PS: Might have to add, he wasn't like the perfect donkey-calling station; more like a passive player overall. Against a complete 75/10/1 donkey over a large sample size, I think betting this might be perfectly fine, but even then it may a bit too thin, dunno...

I think you're missing a ton of value by not value betting the river. He could easily put you on a draw and call you down weak, or like the other guy said, call you with the nut flush ace. Another thing is that you are not even guaranteed to get him to bluff the river with a missed draw. You got lucky this time but I really do think you're winning less money by c/cing the river. I prefer a shove.
