I didn't bet the river, to give him an opportunity to bluff his missed FDs if he then has one... He will not call another bet with a draw anyway. And I'm pretty certain he won't bluff-shove us, like almost never.
By check-calling we also minimize the losses we take, if he indeed has a better holding, like a straight, or some Ax 2 pair (or an unlikely set). He will certainly bet those holdings, or shove over our bet, in which case we would have to pay approximately more than double the amount compared to when we just check/call. C/c this achieves getting a (bit) cheaper showdown vs these hands.
Both cases save us money // maximize our profit, so I think this a perfect spot to c/c the river...

PS: Might have to add, he wasn't like the perfect donkey-calling station; more like a passive player overall. Against a complete 75/10/1 donkey over a large sample size, I think betting this might be perfectly fine, but even then it may a bit too thin, dunno...
