I usually just fold in this spot unless you've seen him lead out at pots with really marginal holdings. I really doubt he's going to fold much here and I feel like the reverse implied odds are pretty poor.

That's what came into my mind at first but shortstacks usually bet when they have weak hands and they play extremely tricky when they have the nuts. So I'm sure this guy would check to me very often when the turn i.e. is a K and he has trips.
