Ok, I know this hand is a little experimental. Villian is a reg and can hand read.
I float the flop(for no good reason i guess), but when the turn hits I'm thinking he rarely has a 9 which he cbets on the flop but I can very well have a 9 here.
I just throw it out here to have some opinions.
FWIW I did the exact same play on another table with the actual trips which another reg folded too.

It looks good, too bad he had what you are repping.

Only problem I can see is if the villian is any good he isn't barreling on an A high board when the turn pairs the 9 therefore we can expect him to have a hand. If he lays down Ax here its a good play but if he is liable to get stubborn with AQ/J it starts to become much less profitable.

Give up when he calls the raise, he either has a 9 or an A and he hardly folds once he calls tue turn.

Your flop float is good, you can rep a lot of turns.

All looks good to me until the river. Once calls the raise you're screwed so check behind and let it go.
