Villain probably has a hand like 88, some hands like AQ, 55/22
I wouldn't assume villain can fold his weak overpairs at these levels, so I'm not sure about your bluff here.

Don't think this is awful if you think villain floats a fair bit and you are trying to construct a balanced turn checking range

Ace is a gutshot.

a) we have more equity which is good
b) Villain can think you are doing this with the type of hand you are
c) Villain might not think on that level but see that his own AQ has a GS and two overs and click the call button.

People don't like folding. Especially if they bet this w a weak overpair for value.
I feel they often check behind a pair but once they bet it, they rarely fold.
Why to bet 99 if you are folding is their thinking. Or put it another way, people just don't fold overpairs in 3 bet pots.

Obviously he will fold his pure floats like 76dd but the fact that he can click call w AQ
makes it -EV bluff IMO.

I think above all that villain's bet sizing is very big.

OP it all depends on his pre-flop calling range imo.

He's pretty much floating this flop 100% of the time I imagine.
