Hero (Button) ($89)
SB ($72.16)
BB ($46.50)
UTG ($32.60)
MP ($81.35)
CO ($16.64)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J, J
1 fold, MP raises to $1.75, 1 fold, Hero raises to $6.50, 2 folds, MP calls $4.75

Flop: ($13.75) 9, 7, 6 (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $7, MP raises to $30.75

Villain is a good, thinking 23/18 (142)

I 3betted him twice in a row OOP early in the session and he folded. This is around hand #80.

He thought for like 7 seconds and then raised.

Please comment his timing and betsizing. How do you think his range changes because of the stacksizes?

His raise is a little less than the size of the pot and tells you two things:

1) He plans on calling if you shove.
2) He plans on you calling the turn shove if you call the flop.

His range isn't solely pairs 55-AA as he could c/r this flop rarely with a hand like AQ/AK as a pure bluff; but he's not doing it nearly enough to make it profitable for you to call. Fold, and don't tank it to fold either. You're just encouraging others to bluff you. As the two of you develop history you might have to call down here if his c/r frequency becomes higher on flops like this.

What is the reason why he isnt bluffing enough to call? You just think people are too straightfoward, or that its something with the texture?

mehh you're a little deep so you can probably fold, but in general i hate the idea of 3betting JJ and then bfing
