Not sure about this hand.

Preflop no 3-bet to avoid a 4-bet and for the rest of the hand Villain having a 10 was unlikely so I basically put them on a range of pairs. Villain was fairly loose and aggressive so I didn't put them exclusively on higher pairs than mine. However, my sixth sense was telling me I was probably beat all along.

How would you play this?

3b pre imo, we are so far ahead of CO iso range

As played I think it looks ok, obviously a horrible river and I might even tank fold...

Thanks for the reply. You may be right. A 3bet for value would be good and might also help narrow down Villain's range. This is especially true since it's coming from the CO.

On the other hand, TT/JJ and even QQ don't do so well versus a 4bet at least at these stakes. 5-bet shoving those hands pre is typically a bad idea because more often than not Villain has KK/AA. Calling and seeing a flop without the initiative seems like burning chips and folding after 3-betting as well.

A lot o people seem to advocate just flatting with those sorts of hands (mostly versus UTG raises) precisely to avoid being 4bet out of the pot. This is often what I end up doing but the benefits of 3betting are also clear if Villain will play small pocket pairs UTG. So, is this more Villain dependent?
