4bet/folding is probably the worst way to play it. No matter what you think he has.

OP 3b/folded. It's not that bad against an unknown, but shoving here wouldn't be bad either since we have all the blockers.

[ ]OP 3b/folded
[x]OP 4b/folded

Also, you may want to crunch some numbers if you think 3b/folding AK v 99.99999% of ppl is not terribad let alone 4b/folding.

This is backwards. The higher you get the more happy you are to get it in with AK, because there's more preflop aggression. I'm not familiar with 5NL games so can't answer directly but 3bet/folding value hands, especially out of position is often correct. That's how I'd play AQ in more passive games every time.

You should definitely be delighted to get it all in at this level. Many people here have very little idea of the stength of preflop hands - when I played at 2c/4c there were quite a lot of people who seemed to believe getting it in with ATo or 55 is a good play. I can't tell you how many times my AK or AQ would be up against rag aces.

Ok, my experience is in stars games from 25NL and up. At 25NL I often found I got into trouble overplaying JJ and AK, where I felt my opponent should be stacking with worse sometimes and in reality never did. But the general idea is the same: If you feel they can 4bet light, shove. If you think their range is 90% KK, AA (either because you have a read they are passive and straightforward, or just because that's how people roll at your limit) then just muck to the fourth bet and don't worry about it.
