Villian is completely unknown.
Intension was obv. to steal BB (probably a bit loose vs. an unknown guy, so you might just say fold pre) and this developped:

Call because of the good odds, or fold and save the $, because he has it the big majority of the time?

Pre is fine as long as he hasn't been contesting your steals. I steal much wider than q8 suited. You are getting priced in at over 5:1, but I expect to see K9 here a ton. I reluctantly call, mainly for info and take note of how he played the hand.

Good fold imo. You we're betting big on the flop & turn, so what made you decide to bet less than 50% on the river? I think we either have to check or bet big again. Once you go from betting the pot, to betting less than half of it, it shows a lot of weakness, and the min raise is usually the straight here.
