[NL400] overbet shoving a full house [NL400] overbet shoving a full house

Euro site.
Villain was a very spewy player, it seems he tightened up a bit tho.
I think he's a marginal winner.
29/20, agg factor: 34%, 3bet: 8%, went-to-sd: 22% (only 200 hands since i played NL200 lately, just taking a shot at NL400 again)

We played against each other some hands like 6 months ago and i remember him calling big bets with weak draws and 3barreling with air.
He was a weird spewy LAG, but definitely not stupid.

He doesn't know who i am, i got new sn. Probably views me as a shot taker as i really am. I was playing nitty 19/16 with aggression factor of 4.

Hero (UTG): $406.25
CO: $398.00
BTN: $1074.00
SB: $396.00
BB: $894.75

Pre Flop: ($6.00) Hero is UTG with Q Q
Hero raises to $14, 1 fold, BTN calls $14, 2 folds

Flop: ($34.00) 5 Q T (2 players)
Hero bets $25.50, BTN calls $25.50

Turn: ($85.00) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $60.00, BTN calls $60

River: ($205.00) T (2 players)
Hero bets $306.75

So is this a good spot for an overbet shove? I was thinking he's calling any T, probably AQ/KQ, maybe QJ? since it's pretty much the same as better Q's as i'm not shoving AQ here, only trips+ and busted draws.

I don't know what's the best line here, i can see a normal sized value bet and check/shoving as options also.

I'd rather CRAI expecting him to bet most Q's he will be calling with, missed draws and definitely any T.

I understand your reasoning but what fails here is that you say your image is that of a shot-taking nit. Most shot taking nits don't overbet shove as a bluff.

If it were me I'd go for a sneaky blockish type of a bet like 86 or something and hope to induce. He can't really have much besides a 10 on that board with showdown value which if you shove he might have a hard time calling. But if you go for a blocking bet you might get looked up really light JJ-77 or induce a bluff shove to rep a 10.

c/r also isn't that good since like I said he can't really call with much, but he can bluff.

babaar hero has an image of a nit taking a shot, is he really going to call a c/r w a Q? I don't think so, perhaps a 10 but even then it would have to be a A10,K10.

I know I could c/r with my image and I would get called but not this hero. I don't think at least.

@trulli:

villians range is mostly a 10 or a draw -

- we can stack the a 10 by c/shoving.
- we get a missed draw to bluff by checking.

I doubt the villian will bluff us very often when we make a small 'blocking bet'; we're viewed as a nit and we've fired 3barrels and nits dont like to fold.

Good points. I'm switching to the c/r bandwagon too then.

c/r is much better than a shove.

i think the hand is played good as it is. far too many check/behind hands in villians range to make a goofy c/r.
