Villains are both TAGfish, nothing special, marginal winners maybe.

45 gets there on the turn, but im still ahead of villains range, rivah is one of the worst cards in the deck.

Is this a b/f? If so how much?
Or a c/c? c/f?

Felt a little lost on the rivah....

i don't really like your turn play. i think that gets checked through a lot by worse hands or draws but commits you against 45 and doesn't do much in the way for figuring out what his hand is. i dont think the 4d is a bad card for you at all, a 5 is unlikely unless he had 45, and i doubt he betcalls diamonds on the turn for that much. it changes his perception of your hand range though and i think youll have difficulty getting paid off by worse here. c/f i think.

I agree, i dont like my turn play here, i think my logic was at the time was that it was a limped pot and i wanted to build the pot somewhere. But in heinsight, i prefer just betting out here.

As for the river, by checking it, am i just asking to be bet off my hand, after all, i do have some good showdown value. Is this a good board for some kind of blocker bet on the river?

thx

I doubt villain would decide to push you off a hand on this river. When he called your c/r on the turn, he either had some type of made hand, or a draw. Well, all the draws got there & I doubt he would turn his made hand into a bluff here. Check/fold seems best.

thank you, you are totally right. Makes perfect sense.

FWIW, villain had a set of 6s.
