Villain opens 51% of buttons and was folding to just 30% of 3-bets and folding to only 30% of flop c-bets over a sample of 200 hands. He was c-betting 64% of flops but never fired the 2nd barrel.

In a previous 3-bet pot 17 minutes before:

Hero (BB): $409.50
BTN/SB: $470.50

Pre Flop: ($6.00) Hero is BB with T K
BTN/SB raises to $12, Hero raises to $48, BTN/SB calls $36

Flop: ($96.00) Q T 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $64, BTN/SB raises to $422.50 all in, Hero requests TIME, Hero folds

I thought long and hard and decided he has a Queen or overpair here a lot and thought he is more likely to be trying to protect his hand rather than to be jamming a big draw, the fact he wasn't 2nd barreling in SRP makes me think he probably isn't aggro enough to play a draw this way.

On the turn I thought of shoving but decided I would lose value from a single diamond and diamond+pair if I did. I can't imagine him floating with a lot of Kings in his range though of course K+diamond is a possibility.

I hate the river card, but decide it's unlikely he floats two streets with A high, but then again, A high + diamond might.

I'm not sure I like my shove. Do I get hero called by pocket pairs and 6's enough?

Is it better to check and call and pick off busted diamond draws?

Or given the guy does not seem so aggro, might a check-fold on the river actually be best?

The money behind was only 30% of the pot and I decided there was too much money in the middle to check-fold, to be honest I also didn't have the heart to check-call with the two overs on the board, so I just shipped it in. Perhaps in future I need to be steelier and force myself to make sick check-calls like this when appropriate.

i really dislike your sizing here. you should decide if you want to play 3 streets or 2 streets, what you have now is like 2 1/2 streets and you have an awful spot that's normally a c/f but with only 1/3 pot behind it's much tougher. i don't think anything about his ranges change if instead of cbetting 64 you cbet 76, and that leaves a reasonable turn jam if you think thats the best play. you could also cbet 1/2 pot and play 3 streets.

I would have checked the river assuming he hit the A or K.
