Hey 2+2,

UTG is 35/22 over 55 hands. And he tripple barrels, but small size OTR.
Gy this aggressiv is able to play any Ax in his range this way I guess and we beat most of them.

What´s you opinion?

SB: $5.49 (137.3 bb)
BB: $0.91 (22.8 bb)
UTG: $5.25 (131.3 bb)
Hero (MP): $6.75 (168.8 bb)
CO: $3.83 (95.8 bb)
BTN: $5.22 (130.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A Q
UTG raises to $0.12, Hero calls $0.12, 4 folds

Flop: ($0.30) 2 8 A (2 players)
UTG bets $0.20, Hero calls $0.20

Turn: ($0.70) K (2 players)
UTG bets $0.46, Hero calls $0.46

River: ($1.62) 4 (2 players)
UTG bets $0.77, Hero calls $0.77

Seems a bit too passive play from you. I would raise on flop and see what he does

Also you might consider raising pre flop

Looks ok. Against this guy can likely 3b pre but flatting is fine as well.

Don't raise flop

And what do we achieve with a raise? We made all his bluffs fold and keep his value hands in. By calling we keep his range wide.

Because on 2NL/4NL players like V don't fold their marginal hands. As you said, ppl like V can easily have Ax in which case their are happy to call your raise with hands like A7, AT, etc. If he reraise you on flop or if he calls your raise on flop and bet quite big on turn, you can decide to fold.
If he really have A with worse kicker he will probably call on flop and check the turn. In this case you can check back turn and check call/bet river.
So by raising flop you:
1. putting more money into the pot when you are probably ahead
2. if you are behind, players like V will let you know that you are behind by reraising flop or calling flop and betting strong on turn - in this case you put actually less money into the pot than calling all three streets and you can fold

But calling is fine as well, especially on very dry flop

Your line is totally standard. You can make a note of a possible sizing tell if he turns up with something weak, but doing anything else would need to be a specific exploit.

Thank you.
Nice that you mentioned it, noted his riversizing after outcome that he bets 40% OTR with toptwo.

Anybody who wants to raise this flop with any hand should study long hours. Axx super dry flop cannot be raised with any hand, neither set... nor Ax... 72o ... absolutely zero raising range.

Yeah, unexpected. Maybe he's just bad at value betting or does this with his whole range on dry boards, but these are def good spots to know about if he starts betting big.
