NL25: Two quick thin value hands NL25: Two quick thin value hands

Villain was ~14/8 over a small sample at the time, I'm 3b/f for value vs his min raise btw.
No more meaningful stats available unfortunately.

I'm intending to go for some thin value vs TT/JJ on the turn & river, if he bets the flop I'm done. I also didn't want to bloat the pot oop so went for pot control.

Look ok, sizing, overall line?

Villain here is 29/12 over 52 hands, 1/3 fvcb so far. I put him on 56/7x/4x/55/66/2x & 88-TT I'd say too. He can have overs otf as well.

Looks pretty standard overall & I sized it so that I could set up 3 streets vs the desired hands from the above range. Just checking to make sure I'm not doing anything mad I don't notice.

Hand 1: By checking the flop, you're saying "I can't beat a pair of kings" and essentially turn your cards face up. You're allowing a competent villain to steal the pot with any two cards. I think a 1/2 pot c-bet is in order. If villain was set-mining or had a flush draw, you don't want to give him a free card on the flop. After betting the flop, you can check or bet the turn and then get more value on the river.

Hand 2: Blind vs blind, that looks fine.

Agree 100% with you vs a competent villain & I'd be looking to c/c here if I felt villain was set mining or flatting me with broadways etc. I'm confident villains not competent & not going to turn anything into a bluff. That said I think a 1/2 pot cb could be better, check turn, bet rvr again depending on board run out, if there was no fd on board I'd say checking the flop>>>>>than betting it.

pretty much cbetting hand 1 always, double barreling vrs most limper/callers and snap checking back this river

hand 2 seems fine although I'd have bet a tad more on the turn/river

Hand 1: I actually prefer a bigger bet on the river. You're bet just screams value, If I was villain I'd be far more inclined to call a $6+ bet otr then a $3 one. Personnally I'd cbet the flop as I'd do it with all my value hands and bluffs so when we check I think it looks quite strong. also If I'm villain on this flop I'm more likely to call a flop bet with J's and a river bet if turn is checked through then calling two barrells after you check flop.

Hand 2: I'd be more on the turn and then less on the river, 3/4 on the turn then a 1/3 otr instead of 2/3 on the river and 1/2 otr fro example as he'll be on a draw here a lot more often which will just fold the river anyway.

Hand 1 I like cbetting flop and turn then c/c river. Not sure what portion of that 6% he limps with pp, but he should have some Axdd and almost no Kx.

Hand 1- I just cbet all A/K high flops because I just find not doing so looks either way too strong or way too weak.

Hand 2- I bet more OTT but otherwise fine.

Thanks for all the advice, I definitely prefer a bet in hand one now based on responses given.
