Villain is running 15/12/2.3 over 500 hands. He folded to a 4bet once. He's 3betting 5% out of the blinds and cbets flop and turn only 63% and 50%. He folds either blinds vs. a steal 76% of the time.

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is BTN with K A
5 folds, Hero raises to $0.85, 1 fold, BB raises to $2.50, Hero raises to $6.25, BB calls $3.75

Flop: ($12.60) 4 2 Q (2 players)
BB bets $7.68, Hero requests TIME, Hero folds

Since its a steal situation and he seems kinda aggressive I was ready to 4bet and call a shove. Unfortunately he just flat called OOP and donked a pretty bad board for my hand.

Did I play the hand OK or is flatting the 3bet IP a better play in this spot considering he only 3bets 63% and 50%?

As played fold and thank god that the villain is an idiot.

A flat might be better pre though, we have a nice hand to play IP.

I'm in the early stages of learning to play. Could you tell me how you think the villian should play the hand if (a) he had something (top pair, etc) and (b) if he totally missed the flop.

Obvioulsy, I can see you hate the donk bet, just wondering the right play here for villian given a few scenarios. Much apprecaited.

I like 4-betting a little bigger here - you are sort of giving villiain the option of exploiting you post flop if he puts you on a polarized range. And not all villains...actually, most of them...aren't thinking "let me 5-bet him with JQss here!"

I also like flatting this spot a good % of the time. You have a really nice hand postflop.

Do I really have a nice hand vs. his 4bet calling range here? What kind of a range do we give villain? JJ/QQ an AK only? I somehow think he might have KK/AA here a lot too.

What if we flat a blank rolls of and he checks?
