Poker Stars $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em - 9 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

UTG: $12.35
UTG+1: $8.80
UTG+2: $24.30
MP1: $11.10
MP2: $6.45
CO: $14.35
Hero (BTN): $42.20
SB: $24.75
BB: $26.10

Pre Flop: Hero is BTN with K Q
UTG calls $0.25, 2 folds, MP1 calls $0.25, MP2 calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.25, 1 fold, BB checks

Flop: ($1.35) J 9 T (5 players)
BB checks, UTG bets $1, MP1 folds, MP2 raises to $2.50, Hero calls? raises?

obviously mp2's stack is going in, what would be the best way to get utg+1 committed? its his third hand at the table, he's played 2 of them but didnt show down anything. call looks way too strong on this board, is reraising the only option?

I'd just flat call and hope that UTG+1 comes along or decides to shove. Even a short stack might be able to fold if you 3bet the flop but might talk themselves into calling with all sorts of junk if it stays multiway. Plus your really not scared of any turn/river cards

If UTG+1 calls they and MP2 have less than a PSB on the turn and you can call a shove or shove yourself on pretty much any card.

They are both short......just reraise enough to put them both all in.

Why do you think calling is strong ? You are up against two shortstacks, they are
probably first level thinkers.
I would just call, and bet weak turn and river, so they call you down.

I agree with the lego head: A call doesn't look strong. A call looks like QT, or As2s or something.

Considering UTG+1's stack size, I actually like a call here. If you can get him to call he'll have ~$6 and the pot will be just under $9. I think shoving folds out anything less than 2 pair.

If we were a bit deeper I'd be looking to move stacks in a little faster.

KQs plays so well multi way, especially against loose/passives, I like the value of limping along here.

I think I'm raising it PF most times but will sometime just flat like this, as it turns out this couldn't be better for you.

I think the best play is to flat the raise. You have a much easier time getting it in on the turn. just gotta hope an 8 or Q doesn't turn up but even if it does I think these shorties will commit with most of the hands they call on the flop.
