villain is LAG 22/20/3 after 250 hands
vs steal fold 36%, 3bet 50%, fold to 4bet 2/4
hero is stealing around 50%, did 4bet villain 2 orbits ago, villain folded.
no reads on villains stack off range preflop.

did i just turn my hand into a bluff ? i mean, calling AI preflop with AQ seams weird for me, but given stats and previous action...

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.25(BB) Replayer
Hero ($27.10)
BB ($26.92)
UTG ($42.66)
UTG+1 ($25.42)
UTG+2 ($18.87)
MP1 ($41.57)
CO ($29.36)
BTN ($20.03)

Dealt to Hero A Q

fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.75, BB raises to $2.25, Hero raises to $6.41, BB raises to $26.92 (AI), fold

BB wins $12.82

BvB and villain is LAGish and positionally aware. I'd call his shove and be prepared to flip. I don't like 4bet/folding.

This sucks but I don't think calling an all in with AQ in full ring is ever going to be profitable without a ton of war history. I like to level myself into thinking he can be doing it with worse in these spots since AQ is hard to fold but I'm ALWAYS wrong and dominated/flipping here.

I'd probably call (though I'm not super excited about it) given the history, villains stats and positions (ie BvB).

If you weren't going to call a shove then muck to his 3bet.

I agree generally speaking. However, there is sufficient history.

Considering villain 3bets so much (though 250 hands isn't enough of a sample size to confident with is 3bet range) and considering the history, I've put together a range for villains shove.

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 57.307% 49.36% 07.94% 639004968 102831828.00 { 99+, AJs+, AJo+ }
Hand 1: 42.693% 34.75% 07.94% 449833200 102831828.00 { AQo }

With the money in the pot, I can call the shove.

Really don't like the 4-bet if you're unhappy to get shipped on

I actually prefer limp/calling into this kind of player preflop with my entire range (maybe with the occasional l/rr).* I mean, he's going to raise like 90% of the time when you limp into him. I know not having initiative sucks, but when we l/c with AQ we have a *BIG* card advantage.

As played, I stack it here. But ugh @ BvB dickwaving wars.

* Disclaimer: I won't sit on this kind of player's right at all unless there are some megafish at the table to make it worth my while

I've played a few hands with OP and it looks like we've got some serious LAG on LAG violence going on here

I think getting it in with AQ pre BvB is fine given the players involved - especially if he's 3bet/folded to you in recent memory and might be in the mood to 5bet shove something random.

4b/calling super standard against this type of villain + your described history.

Anyone like just flatting the 3bet. Its not the greatest line i know but its a little lower variance and we can be pretty sure that he is going to barrel off like a monkey sooner or later if we catch a piece.
I agree with the others, dont 4bet if your not going to call, you have to know that given history he will be ready to 5bet ship after a while.

I like calling the 3bet and playing postflop. I have the same thoughts that if we catch a piece of the board he is going to value town himself against us because he thinks he has a bigger ****. In reality we already know that ours is bigger.
I dont like the idea of 4betting our hand if we are not planning on getting it in. From what Hero has said i wouldnt mind getting it in in this situation. I had the same thing with xxxstoystarxxxx once at 50NL where we had a bit of a blind war going on and he even said in chat the next time i 4bet him he would shove. So i 4bet him with AQs and he shoves, i call, he has the Aces ldo.

Don't think I'm a fan of calling AQo OOP.
