Hey guys,

I played this hand few days ago and would be highly interested in your thoughts. Villain was unknown with

VP 26 PFR 18 3B 8 AF ?

Since he wasn't sitting at the table with a full stack, I would categorize him as weaker, but he definitely wasn't a fish.

My question is: How would you approach the hand on the flop and especially on the turn? To keep the discussion as open as possible I have not posted the outcome of the hand. Thank you in advance for your answers!

I hate this spot, because unless villain knows you have a strong or at least balanced c/c c/r range (which the majority won’t know and the majority won’t have) once you bet small and then check your hand is kind of face up I think and villain can just blast away and get a high percentage of folds. I’m interested know thoughts from people on a good sound strategy on playing PP OOP on a overcast flop

It seems to be there is not much to say about but I want to give you at least the outcome.

I shoved to his bet and he folded. Of course I block the nuts and that's why I did it. In a vacuum it might be a good play but I'm not convinced. That's why I was asking.

x/f turn. sucks but what you gonna do.

the lesser the SPR the less blocking the nuts matters.

It is no flushdraws here. By shoving you have to hope he folds weak Ax-hands which he then also have to bet this big ott with. Kinda unlikely. U block likely hand for him like AQ.

If you want to continue x/c is better than x/r.

imo

x/f > x/c < x/r

Better to shove hands like QJs or QTsif you wanna bluff.
