No IQ poker 1.00/2.00, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker

saw flop | saw showdown

SB SB ($107.70)
BB Hero ($127.50)

Preflop: Hero is in the BB with A J
SB calls 1.00, Hero raises to 10.00, SB calls 8.00.

Flop (22.00) 4 2 6
Hero bets 14.00, SB raises to 28.00, Hero calls 14.00.

Turn (78.00) 4
Hero checks, SB moves all-in for 69.70, Hero calls 69.70.

I had some history against the guy but i don't know if he can make the minraise on the flop with a hand or draw or total bluff.
I just felt like i was good for sure with AJ high. Comments? Spew?

If u don't know what his min raise on this flop means then the rest is horrendous.

Oh i'm just tired and i wrote bad. He always minraise, he doesn't use other raise pattern. So his minraise is his standard raise. He can have a draw, a hand, or a total bluff. Preflop limp is almost atc but usually he fold the worst % if i raise. He was playing 60/9 with AF postflop quite high.

youre avatar is too hypnotizing for me to give you a serious response. just kidding, but i'd rather jam the turn into him then call a jam, but i think both of those moves are bleh.

Why would you rather Jam?? Your never folding out better.

Why are you playing with a 50bb stack? I'd fold turn.

It's still the same answer, you can't start calling this down if you have no clue what you are up against.

i think if you call the raise you should have some kind of plan for the turn, and if that plan includes calling it off when the 4 pairs then i say just stick it in on the flop.

i can't let him bluff if i stick it on the flop. If i shove flop or turn he calls everything that beat me and folding the rest.
I played this way because i thought that is range is mostly flush draw or total bluff but i know sometimes he will have a random 6 or other things that beat me. I'm posting this because i'm new to hu, i played straightforward poker at sngs 9max for 8 months and i don't know if i should call this kind of hand when i think i'm good.

Anyway, we're playing 50bb because he's not reloading and i covered him so i didn't reload too when i lost some hands before.

fold to mini raise on the flop, no need to make hero calls vs fishes.. who knows what their ranges are, they dont even know if they are bluffing or raising for value

Indeed..

AJ is possibly good against somebody who is thinking. Anybody that is thinking probably isn't jamming this turn too much.

I would either raise or fold flop. But with that board texture I would definitely lean towards fold but if you think he is weak I'd raise as opposed to just calling his min raise.

Also I don't know if I c-bet that flop, especially vs. a weak player because I think you are at least getting called especially verse his limping range.

Well, I would obviously prefer to have 22 here.

I don't think this is terribad, in a vacuum I don't like it, but i don't necessarily hate it. If he's bad enough to make a play like this with a bluff though, you can certainly find better spots to stack him than right here. I'd fold to the flop minraise and move on.

if he's defending his limps that wide, with his stack size and that board, i would often check the flop.

i mean the hand is whatever, you were playing him, we weren't. pokerstove what you think his range was. i wouldnt do this very often, but there are times when ive made calls like this against half stacks.

i think if you're deeper, this is a fold. but with current stacks, i'd go with it on the flop against someone who bluff minraises with a decent frequency.

i missed the second bit but aj is much better than 33 here. 22 is a full house right but i get what you mean.
