CO: $27.40 (137 bb)
BTN: $31.36 (156.8 bb)
SB: $23.09 (115.5 bb)
BB: $20 (100 bb)
Hero (MP): $21.90 (109.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 4 4
Hero raises to $0.60, CO folds, BTN calls $0.60, SB calls $0.50, BB folds

Flop: ($2) 7 8 4 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.70, BTN calls $1.70, SB folds

Turn: ($5.40) 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $3.85, BTN raises to $8.50, Hero ???
Villain is a solid reg. running 27/23/ 12% 3bet./ fold 2cbet 30%/ A.F. 4/618 hands.
Villain sees me as a solid 20/19 reg with cbet 60%.
He is aware that i'm not cbet bluffing the flop,especially the turn because of the big fish in blinds,board texture and my bet sizes.
He's an aggro 3bettor and i was opening 4 hands in a row, and i expect to 3b he's stronger ranger like JJ+ AQ+,KQs, and flat with medium PP and some suited connectors.
What do you think?

I think you should re raise all in. He is only ahead with 77 or 88 and lots of hands will call that are worse - 2 pair, an overpair. GL!

87 would probably raise the flop,as ppl tend to play 2p quicker. So that leaves 88, 77, 56s. I just dont see this villain doing this with anything else. Folding here will save u alot of money in the long run

Villain calling range IMO:
22-10ns,AQ,KQ,and hands like AJs,A10s,KJs,K10s,QJs,Q10s,J10s(because you opened that much and he will try to fight back)
Now VPIP 27% also includes suited conectors like 910s,89s,78s,67s(better to 3b with but not with the fish in Blinds).
JJ+ also AK I am also pretty sure will 3b u in this spot,regarding your table dynamics and Villain in SB.

I agree when you C-bet this flop is never a bluff and Villain know this.
So his calling range is now : ,77-10'ns also 910,and maybe 78(I think he won't raise his 2pair hand on this board,regarding your range I am pretty sure he puts you on O/P pretty much)
When 2c shows on the turn and V raise your bet....If he doesn't hold AQc,AJc(and i don't think he does),J10c,910c,villain range becomes 77,88,J10c,910c ocasionally 78s(2combos) ....99,10ns will probably call.
IMO in this spot you are ahead of 78c,910c,J10c,only 2 combination beat your hand..Set of 7's or 8's.

Board: 4c 8d 7h

equity win
Villain Hand : 59.665% { 88-77, AcQc, JcTc, Tc9c, 8c7c, 8s7s }
Hero Hand : 40.335% { 4d4h }

I think both reraising and folding are fine.. Id jam/fold about 50:50, depends on my mood I guess. :s

btw I dont agree with you guys that he wouldnt slowplay 2pair.. He would def try to keep the fish in the pot and by reraising otf villain would most of a time just isolate himself against hero.

Also there is still a chance he is trying to take the pot with hands like A8s etc.

if he had a set he would not check call flop, he would check raise.

Regarding hero's MP opening range and this board...

Why do i have the feeling that by betting smaller ott You accidentally induced a small raise from aggro 27/23 ? I'm not folding, flopping sets is hard
