I don't have many stats on the villian but he was TAGish from what I could gather. I 3bet to steal and inflate the pot incase I hit a set. On the flop he donks into me for pot size which I felt was weakness from the speed at which he did it. I call, and on the turn he makes a small bet which confuses me, again I think this is weakness so I raise him all-in knowing I am behind but have a chance to hit a straight or trips if he calls but I expect a fold. I think he is tilted and insta calls me with 2nd pair.
Is there anything wrong with my play here or did he make a "bad" call and caught me out?
The villian was a loose aggressive type although again I didn't have a good sample. On the flop he had c-bet the flop 100% (3 times) before this hand. I made a small flop bet after he checks to induce a bluff check raise or to keep JJ or ace high in the hand. I checked the turn because I don't know..... I don't have a good reason for thinking this other than i felt like I was being trapped.
I felt that although I probably lost the least on this hand I didn't play it well overall, how should I have played it?
H1: You are 3betting for value, you arent 3betting to set mine. TT has playing value aside from the obvious set mining. Flop is fine. Turn you should just call, his bet looks what it is a scared J that did not apreciate that Q. Turning your hand into a bluff when you have been offered a free river with an open ender is bad. The odds of you catching your set OTR is 5% dont count too much on it. You have to start re-considering the reasons why you do what you do.
H2: Bet much more OTF bet again OTT. AP call river. He checked to you b/c you were the PF aggressor it's standard.
