Strange line, I would just bet my 2nd pair here, I wouldnt say x raise 2nd pair here was best play unless you had read villain was a donkey and bets everytime you x. Probably bet the turn as well as there is a FD. You do block some of villain continue range AT TJ but there's plenty other hands villain can call with. If villain snap calls flop I might x turn and then x fold river
