New to 6-Max so still trying to transition from FR, all opponents are "Unknown" as I'm not using a HUD at this time.

Is opening here UTG the correct play? Do I consider limping to set mine at all?

How does set mining differ in 6-Max from FR?

Pre is marginal. I personally start from 55.

Flop definetely cbet because this short stack most of the time fish and calling from big blind super wide.
And again you drawing 2 outs close to he nuts. But in this spot you generally just have a lot of fold equity and you don't need to cbet big (sligthly over half pot is enough).

BTW as played call turn. Good odds, greate implied odds and some percentage of the time he just check on the river and sometimes you win.

Depending a bit on the table, I open all pp:s UTG.
But never open limp, if you´re first to act, raise or fold.
If you´re on the BTN or CO and you have limpers, then you can limp along with your 22.
We like a multiway pot with small pp:s.

    Hand is wp.

How do you figure that? Got more than 50% on top of his stack and never heard a 3:1 call to set mine on the turn is worth...

we are not purely "set mining" here, we are bluffcatching with a hand which has a little bit of sdv and 6 outs, getting good odds. It is really close though imo especially since we probably shouldn't be bluffing this fish vs his river check whereas we could try to rep weaker Ax vs regs
