Basically on a bit of a downer and looking to plumb some leaks thought this might be one.

Same opponent for both hands. 48/39/27 - he was aggressive c/ring 35% of flops, however, only cbetting 59%.

For this first hand (although I'm not in the habit of calling 3bets with small cards) I was slightly tilted as his 3bet % at this point was about 45%, and he just shoved over my 4bet bluff, so I elected to call and see a flop.

I dont think hand 1 is to thin however this guys 3betting so much his rainge is really wide and not leaned towards big aces so it might be to thin vs him.

Yeah i know, I'm struggling to combat players who 3bet a ton and calling with garabage is now a tried and failed method

Best hope in 1 is to induce a bluff c/r. there is no value in betting there imo

oh my no.

It's to induce a shove from overs. Based on his aggression, I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen and expect that you're a huge favourite on this flop.

hand 1 cant possibly be a valuebet, hand 2 is fine.

im not sure how much a like a small raise in hand 1. ur hand isnt great vs like almost eveything and its really terrible vs alot of what he shoves even tho it is tp at the moment.

I really don't like trying to induce here.

How come? We look frustrated and it's a board where it looks like we have nothing a lot.

On river. I don't think you get called here enough when betting 28, but ppl do really stupid things when you bet some other inducing amount

meh, first one is definitely really weird, and i'm not crazy about a flop raise either, you have terrible terrible equity when behind, at least if it was like 482 and he actually has jj you have 5 outs and not 2. this doesnt make a huge diff but it should make a small one.

the second one just depends on villain. again it's not so much that the ace makes your opponent a better hand all that often, but it makes it less likely he'll call you with a worse hand. the same logic you use when you're bluffing can be used here to check behind vs. some opponents.
