Hopefully I can make an exception to post 2 hands in one thread. Kinda lost in these. I usually fold when multitabling but got me thinking when I played 1 table. Close? Easy call?

1)
CO is 19/13 over 64 hands.
BB is 29/14 over 14 hands.

PokerStars - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players

Hero (SB): $11.35
BB: $10.15
UTG: $10.45
CO: $6.34
BTN: $7.80

Hero posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero has K T

fold, CO raises to $0.20, fold, Hero?

2)

Villain is unknown.

PokerStars - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

Hero (BB): $10.85
UTG: $8.69
MP: $9.40
CO: $3.73
BTN: $4.00
SB: $4.05

SB posts SB $0.05, Hero posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero has K 3

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to $0.20, fold, Hero?

I would 3bet H1 because I hate calling from the SB against a LP raise. 3betting makes the hand much, much easier to play.

H2, I call and defend that. Even against an unknown. K3s is way to strong to be folding pre flop against a min-raise from the button.

1) fold or 3bet (0.70)
2) call

1) don't flat too many hands in the SB, BB might be playing a roll, if he's a fish flatting becomes a little better. Some people advise not having a flatting range in the SB at all, but I think that's a little too much at 10nl.

2) this is a call, ainec, you're getting ridiculous pot odds, you're closing the action and you'll really have to butcher your hand postflop (which, in all fairness, isn't that hard to do) to make calling worse than folding or 3betting.

Hand 1: I like a 3bet here better than a call. We're never ahead of his range here, but our hand has just enough equity to play ok postflop if he just flats our 3bet. And we can get some of his weaker aces and hands like KJ to fold. A 3bet to .7 or .8 should do the trick.

Hand 2: Fold.

btw, that "check # of tables" thing seems like an exercise in futility tbh, it's costing quite a bit of time and most people are hidden from search.

Lol, it only cost two clicks

But really you guys defend K3s in that spot ? I never do that, so want to hear more about it.

In very basic terms, if we're folding hands like K3s from the BB to a BTN min-raise, then the BTN can pretty much raise with any two cards and be profitable because we're not defending enough.

H1: 3 bet.

H2: Fold if good player, Call if bad.

While this might be true, this can be countered by 3 betting.

Also Making a small mistake by folding K3s to a BTN steal is fine because it allows you to not make a big mistake by butchering the hand post-flop, which 10nl players are not exactly Phil Ivey's, so folding K3s to a BTN min-raise is actually optimal imo vs a good player.

Calling is fine vs weak players.

it doesnt really matter if they're "a good 10nl player".

Basically, the only way to butcher this hand postflop is to x/c down with toppair on dry boards (in a vacuum) or always check it down when you miss.

All your 300 million other options in a ton of other imaginable spots (lead turns/rivers when we got air, x/r draws, x/c toppair, flopping trips, flushes, x/r some backdoor stuff) are still open.
