CO: $8.14
Hero (BTN): $10.00
SB: $10.00
BB: $11.94
UTG: $21.36
MP: $10.00

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BTN with A 5
2 folds, CO calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.40, 2 folds, CO calls $0.30

Flop: ($0.95) 6 4 A (2 players)
CO checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($0.95) K (2 players)
CO bets $0.60, Hero calls $0.60

River: ($2.15) 2 (2 players)
CO bets $7.14 all in, Hero ???

villain: hes an overagro fish, stats: 55/25/18.0 agression postflop on 22hands

flop: i check back to pot control a bit and to give him some rope to hang himself by being overly agro and since the flop is fairly dry

turn: i see no point in raising, again i want him to bet into me with worst hands since i've seen him being overly agro a couple of hands already

river: ??? the ****, only hand that gets there is 35, i highly doubt he has a set since he's still raising half of the hands he's opening with and like i said he's really really agressive, so hero call with our bluff catcher hand or fold?

read/note that i had on him before this hand: overbet flop IP when checked to on 29J two tone flop (i had K9o and gave up that hand)

I don't like to say this so much but: Wait for a better spot.
You need so much more reads to even consider calling this.
If he is a fish you hopefully will win all his money in a future hand.

i also don't like overlimp. I limp only hands which can make nuts in multiway - Axs, sc, pockets.

A5o on BTN if blinds are passive then?
A5o can make nice straight and twopair :P But not often
Not much value in limping thou, i don't know...

i think postflop is pretty good if you folded river and were planning to call a normal bet. his overbet is a lot more likely to be for value than a normal bet if you dont have some information otherwise (and obv worse odds too)

Don't like trying to iso with A5o unless we have notes on a villain like this. Ideally should be aiming for TPGK type hands hands. Maybe a couple of SCs if you think the blinds will come along and make it worth your while.

As played fold river. His range is much wider then you are giving him credit for. Villains with those stats can do this with all the wierd 2pairs they come up with aswell. And you have TPWK.

yes i did fold there and was planning to call any normal bet size on the river, why do you guys dont like isolating with A5o in position vs a fish thats going to play most of his hands pretty straight forward and face up? (except this time he obviously went a bit insane )

He isn't playing straight forward though, villain is being a nutter with 55% vpip and 17.0 aggro.

We don't like the A5 iso because if we hit our A we are going to be very restricted on how we can play with top pair weak kicker. And if we hit our 5 then, well we are still totally in the dark vs. this villain on a random board. The only time we hit the flop hard enough with this hand (thinking trips or a straight) even a villain as mad as this isn't going all in enough to make it profitable to play.

would bet the flop always vs a loose player like this always. as others stated if you folded the river good job. probably would have called anything close to a pot sized bet or less vs this guy.

I was going to flame you for your flop play but idk I like it. The board is dry and we want him to catch up with a worse hand obviously. We also don't want to get c/r, we don't have information to know how to proceed +EV in that spot.

No point in balance vs. fish, good check imo. Two-street hand anyway.

Very well-played OP, now fold.
