In retrospect I think my play here was just terrible.

Villain is 23/23/inf over just 30 hands. Hadn't seen him 3-bet PF.

Button ($14.10)
SB ($9.85)
BB ($10.19)
UTG ($14.94)
Hero (MP) ($16.76)
CO ($10.33)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 3, 4
1 fold, Hero bets $0.35, 3 folds, BB raises to $1.10, Hero calls $0.75

Flop: ($2.25) 6, A, 6 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.50, BB calls $1.50

Turn: ($5.25) 3 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

River: ($5.25) 4 (2 players)
BB bets $2, Hero ?

I usually don't raise PF with such a low SC unless I'm in CO or BTN, so this is more of an exception. His 3-bet from the blinds looks pretty strong so I think his range is quite narrow here. I call to possible catch low cards and his overpair.

His check on the flop is a bit weird and makes me think he is afraid of that ace. I try to bet it. He just calls. Anyone else put him on a pocket pair here?

His turn check makes me think he's just looking for a cheap showdown. I think I should've bet here to try to shake him off it, but for some reason I didn't. Pretty bad IMO.

On the river villain suddenly bets. Is this a blocker? Am I crazy to consider a shove here or did I give up on that by checking the turn? He only has like $5.60 behind.

fold pre like u said. fold to the 3bet. u wont hit hard or stack him as often as u hope.

flop bet is automatic. when he calls he is probably inducing from 99-KK or Ax. firing 2-3 barrels to try and get him off that is a lost cause.

fold to his re-raise p/f cause you lose the c/bet bluff on the flop

if you do hit with your suited connector its most likely going to be a draw which is going to be costly for you if he's taking over the pot

You can play the Ace on the flop if he has a painted pocket pair and shake him off which you tried to do on the flop but you lost any chance of that happening when you checked the turn

All sound advice. Thanks a lot for the input. I see so many reasons why my line here is terrible now.

I shoved on the river and got called by a set of aces.

this is not the hand you want to call 3bet pre with
as played just fold river, you are not repping anything
