Simply put - the more I look at this, the more I think that I should have just bet out (not check/raised.) What do y'all think?

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

MP ($1.25)
CO ($12.35)
Button ($3.05)
Hero ($3.65)
BB ($9.85)
UTG ($11.25)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, 8.
2 folds, CO calls $0.10, Button calls $0.10, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($0.40) 8, 2, 2 (4 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $0.4, CO calls $0.40, Button folds, Hero raises to $1.6, BB calls $1.20, CO folds.

Turn: ($4) 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $4, Hero calls $1.95 (All-In).

River: ($9.95) 6 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $7.90

Beware of the unraised pot!! Remember that in a limped pot, you need a MUCH stronger hand to continue on, and you must proceed with caution. The hand ranges of opponents increase immensely.

I personally fold pre flop, as A8o is a weak hand in a multiway limped pot and doesnt play well, to my knowledge.

As played, must bet flop. TBH, with your stack size, if he raised your flop bet I would probably be going broke here because it is just as likely he is doing it with an 8 as well as a 2, along with a few flush draws.

Again, I think folding pre flop saves you money here in the long run.

First the rake at fulltilt is double that of most other sites at 10nl

Second move down to .2/.5 and buy in for a full stack. You have a small stack like that then yaeh you get pot committed so easy with med strength hands not fun.

i believe he meant change to stars and then move down to 5nl.

which, be warned, is all deep stacks so it's essentially 10nl with smaller pots and bigger morons.
