Villain was running at 16/16/0 over a small sample of 24 hands. Villain had played fairly passive so far and had not been involved in any big pots (since I sat down)

Very unsure what to do here, I don't think I should be 4-betting pre. On the flop though I expect most villains who have 3 bet to bet into the flop so should I shove here? My main problem is that he has yet to 3-bet so I put his range as JJ+ and AKs so considering the range I am probably behind

Any help appreciated!

What was your plan when you called the 3bet? Setmine? nah
But i would prefer 4 bet to $3 and call a shove preflop.

35/65 if he's only c-betting JJ+ and AcKc.

There's many scarecards and a fish to act, so calling isn't an option. Raising will never make the 3better fold as he's getting 1:3.
Given your small reads and lack of any reads that would suggest villain to be aggro I think folding here is okay.


Preflop you should 4bet to 3ish and call a shove though. You're only 80 bbs deep and there's dead money in the pot. With JJ+;AK you're 40:60 to the river and you have still a little bit of folding equity. Maybe even push to make it look like AK.
